Foul Weather Child

When all is going Good???

Death in the Family? "GOD?!?!?" Loss of a Job? "GOD?!?!?" Loss of a House? "GOD?!?!?" Sickness and Disease invades your Home? "GOD?!?!?" Dark clouds coming?? "GOD?!?!?" Trying to walk on water, and start to sink? "GOD?!?!? SAVE ME!!!!"

All is going well? Everyone healthy? Got that new Job? Got Married? Birth of a Child? Healed from Sickness? Beautiful Sunny Days? Where is your cry to God? Where is God?

Oh He is there. Where are you? Seriously. Do you have Fair Weather Friends in your life? You know, those that are your best friend whenever all is going great, or whenever they need something from you. However, when all is growing dark, and you become in need of help, they disappear? We have all known or know people like this. Most of us do not have time for Fair Weather Friends. So I have a question for you. Are you a Foul Weather Child of God?

{1 Thessalonians 5:16-18}
"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
"REJOICE EVER MORE!!!" "PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!!!" Not just in the bad times. Rejoice evermore. Not just in the dark times. Pray without ceasing. When God answers you Prayer? Do not just go away. Celebrating. Don't forget to give Him Praise and Glory. Don't forget to give Him Thanks. Remember the ten Lepers?

{Luke 17:12-19}
"And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests.

And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole."
Did you know, that the one that came back and gave Praise and Thanksgiving to God, the ONLY one, he was a Samaritan? The others only got the outward cure. They were Physically healed. He alone got the Spiritual Blessing. Why? In the middle of their Darkest hour, they all Cried out "GOD?!?!?" But when they were healed, only one, the Samaritan, remembered God. Gave Him Praise and Glory..

See God is always there. If you are His Child,,,,

{Zephaniah 3:17}
"The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."
He is there with you in the Good times. He wants you to celebrate WITH Him. He wants a one on one relationship with you. Just like your Earthly Daddy. He wants to be your Heavenly Daddy. Just like your Earthly Daddy, He wants to be there to celebrate Life's good times with you. He will be there in the Bad Times. He will be there when you lay down. He will be there when you get up. If you are His Child, He will be meeting your needs everyday. He will Heal you when you are sick. He will Bless you daily. He will teach you, lead you, love you, always, in all things...

{Philippians 4:4-7}
"Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Have you ever been touch by that "peace of God, which passeth all understanding" If not, there is no describing it. There is nothing to compare it to. You have to actually experience it yourself. I have been touched. I have experienced it. Better than any amount of alcohol. Better than any kind of drugs. It just is the Peace of God. The Joy of our Lord. You can find it no other way, save spending time with God.

Instead of just calling out "GOD!?!?!?" in the bad times, why not trying listening?

{James 1:19}
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:"
Your Daddy is talking to you. He is trying to get your attention. He is trying to show you something. Are you listening? Are you looking for Him? Are you waiting on him? He wants that relationship with you. He wants to call your name and you go, "Here I am." He wants you to be able to call His name, and He goes "Here I am." He wants to laugh with you. He wants to celebrate with you. He wants to cry with you, comfort you. Guide you. Watch you grow up in Faith as His Child.

Do you know people like this? They really agitate you. They use to me as well. They could have sickness and disease in their lives. A Foreclosure notice taped to their door. Their car breaks down. Bombs could be going off all around them. Yet? They always have a smile on their face. They always seem so happy. Why? They KNOW that God is their Daddy. They know that God is always with them. They know, that....

{Romans 8:18}
"the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us."
They have claimed this. They also know that as a Child of God..

{Romans 8:28}
"all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
No matter what is going on in their lives??

{Romans 8 37:39}
"Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
So why worry about anything? Why not celebrate the good times with God. Not just cry out in the bad times. Know that God is with you always. Just like when you come home and share the great things that happened to you with your Earthly Father, share them with God. Just like when you want to make your Earthly Father Proud of you and show him your accomplishments, you should be doing the same with God. Just like when your Earthly Father blesses you with this or that, think Christmas Morning, must have gift, Thank God daily for His Ultimate Gift to you. Everlasting Life with Him..

Don't be a Foul Weather Child. Be His Child always. He is not just there in the Bad Times. He is there always. Are you His Child? Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}

Until next time, be Blessed, be a Blessing, and Jesus IS Lord..
