Happy Birthday Jesus

Thank you Lord.

Luke 2:

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

  1. Jesus was most likely born in March or April. In Christians quest to snuff out Pagans they took over all their celebrations. December 25th is actually birthdate of the Pagan sun-god Mithra. Here's Mirtha's story, created long before Jesus's story: Mirtha was born December 25th
    Mirtha had 12 disciples
    Mirtha preformed many miracles
Mirtha was killed then rose from the dead
Mirtha was the person inbetween God and man the same as Jesus.
Mirtha believed in the immortalty of the soul and heaven and hell.
    Mirtha was the Pagan God.

  2. The exact date of Christ's Birth is irrelevant to the importance of His Birth, yet rather His Resurrection. The exact dating of Mirtha is questionable, and also irrelevant to Salvation. There are always mirror imagines of the Truth, yet, most are for reasons of confusion and deceit. The fact the Roman Empire, which rejected Jesus, celebrated Mirtha between the 1st and to 4th centuries AD says a lot. Mirtha was a creation of man. An Iranian invention. Jesus was in the beginning with God and nothing was made without Him, including man. Mirtha is Religion. Jesus is Life. The fact that most have chosen December 25th to Celebrate Jesus's Birth means little. It is a time to remember He came to Save us all.

Curiosity question. You said in another Post that you live in the Light? What do you consider the Light? If you feel like responding, please do so. I would really like to know. Be Blessed.

  3. I guess what I try to teach my kids is that you have only one job: Find absolute happiness. How? Live in the light of compassion - meaning forgiveness and unconditional love.

Dwelling on darkness... I used to read your old blog but had to give it up because it was all darkness. "Obama is the anti-christ". ??? Really, man. Any darkness you let in compromises the light completely. I commend you for giving up that blog. It's not healthy.

Shakespeare's Hamlet quote comes to mind. "There is nothing either bad nor good but thinking makes it so." So just stay in the light and think nothing of the dark.

Now, Jesus' birthday. I think it's great that you celebrate it, tho birthday celebrations are Pagan in origin - that's why I have a blow-out every year! ;) I guess I just don't understand why the Church found it necessary to eclipse every major Pagan celebration. Any thoughts? And do you teach you son about other major religions of the world? And while Mirtha's birthday is unknown it was celebrated on December 25th for centuries before Christ's birthday. If Jesus' birthday celebration is arbitrary, why celebrate it on another's birthday? And finally, some might suggest God and the story of Jesus is a creation of man.

    1. Hey Peter,

Wish I had more time. Let me simply say this. People can and will believe in whatever they chose. You can believe in God, Mirtha, Buddha, Muhammad, or that big Purple Bunny in your back yard. Or you can believe in nothing. Free Will.

As for me and mine, we believe in the Word of God. We believe in Jesus being the Way, Truth, and Life. The ONLY door to Heaven. Truth is, I would rather believe in Jesus, and come to nothing, than believe in nothing, and find myself standing before Jesus.

Be blessed Peter. Peace to you.

    2. So I can be the most generous, non-judgemental, loving, kind, forgiving person possible, but because I don't believe Jesus was resurrected my soul will be damned to hell for all eternity? (I went to the Easter service at an Evangelical church last year and the message I got is that I have to believe in, if nothing else, the Resurrection, otherwise my "heart is black" - actual quote - and I may not enter heaven.)

I will continue to encourage my to explore and learn all beliefs of the world so they don't walk the earth ignorant.

  4. Hey Peter,

I tell my Sons, do not touch the Stove. It's Hot, and they will get burned. One of my Sons ignores my warning and touches the Stove. He gets burned. Did I burn him? No. Did he get burned because he disobeyed me, and this is his punishment. No. Did the other not get burned as a reward for obeying me? No. He got burned because he touched a hot stove. the other did not, so did not. God is not sitting on a throne, waiting to punish and send people to Hell. He is warning people not to go there. He made it simple for all not to.

Some see the message of Jesus and the Resurrection as exclusive. If you are not part of the club, then you cannot enter Heaven. Truth is, it doesn't matter who you are. It doesn't matter how rich, poor, black, white, Jew, or Greek, male or female. It does not matter what "Religion" you were born into. It doesn't matter if you chose no Religion. God loves us so, that while we are all Sinners, He came and died for us. All we have to do is accept the gift. Simple concept. Believe and be saved. Don't and you will not be. It is that simple. God made it that way for ALL to accept. For ALL to be saved. However, without that? Yes. Without the Key, you will never get through the Door. Without the surrogate payment for your Sins, then the payment is due by you, at the appropriate time.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

    18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. {John 3}

The Message of Jesus and His Sacrifice is not one of hate and exclusion. But one of the ultimate Love and the hope of God, that as many that can be Saved, are. All you have to do is accept the Gift. Like I said though, you can believe as you will. You can reject this as Truth and live your life however you chose. Does this mean I hate you? No. Does it mean God hates you? No. Does it mean you are a bad person? Nope. It just is what it is. Truth. The Sun will come up tomorrow if we chose to believe it or not. It doesn't really care what we think. The Son will return one day, and He really doesn't care what we think. Either we believe and are with Him, or we do not, therefore we are not. Not judgmental. No hate involved. Simply "Do you believe?" Yes or No. The Choice is free for all to make for themselves.

  5. Eternal Separation from God. We will all live on after our time here on Earth is over. We are all Spiritual beings. Not this crude matter that encases us and allows us to operate in this physical realm. Where we end up is our choice. We get there by our actions. Hell was never intended for man. It was set up for Satan and the Angels that followed him in his rebellion against God. Man fell into that same condemnation when he allowed Sin to enter the World. He CHOSE to be included in Hell and damnation. God warned man against this. He told us to do whatever we want except that one thing. Satan tempted man to become gods. Man did. Man rejected God, therefore, became worthy of that same condemnation. God does not want anyone to go to Hell. Therefore He made the way to be saved from this simple. Jesus.

  6. Again with the test. So weird. Why would god test his creation???? Why would god even make it possible for us to be damned? What kind of lunatic is He? Put a wall around Hell. Just take us for how we are. Sinners (and born into sin? I have no say? It just is? Ha), non-sinners, non-believers, worshippers... what difference does it make? UNCONDITIONAL love. Anyway. You've only contributed to my belief that Christianity is so full of contradictions and craziness I'll continue to stay away and walk in the light of compassion, forgiveness and UNCONDITIONAL love. And if your God wishes to hang out with me latter, that'd be cool. I'll see him there. Peace be with you.

  7. I just re-read one of my favorite books, "In Cold Blood". A chilling account of 2 crazies who murder a Kansas family. Not my favorite because of the killing, but because of the numerous questions it raises. How we treat the mentally ill, the poor, the judicial system (12 white men on the jury) and religion. Near the end the prosecutor - in the same sentence - reads two passages from the Bible. Exodus 20:13 "Thou shalt not kill" and Genesis 9:6 ""Whoever sheds man's blood, by man shall their blood be shed". hmmm.... The glaring contradiction was striking. The book ends as the guilty are led to the gallows while a newspaper man comments about how the spilling of more blood accomplishes nothing and the cycle continues. Absolutely amazing and a must read.

  8. Hey Peter,

First, thanks for the recommendation. Sounds interesting. I was not going to address this, because I figured we would simply move on and leave our mutual blessings to be the last word on this. However, I can't. {Laughing} I have to respond.

I do not see where you see a test. There is no test. God created all things. God created Man. God loved Man so much He gave Man domination over all things. MAN gave that domination over all things on Earth over to the devil. Man did. Of his own freewill. It was not a test. Man chose to do it. Because of this, Sin and Death entered the world. It was never meant to be. God created Man and put him in Paradise. Man rejected God. Because of unconditional love, God tried many things to convince man to change his evil ways. Man rejected all. It was because of unconditional love that God had no choice. Man rejected God, falling into the same condemnation as the devil. The end result of all Sin is death.

Out of unconditional love, God did the only thing He could. Come to Earth and pay the price for all man. ALL man "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." It was not us. It was God who loved us so, He wants to see NO man go to hell. He wants to see NO man die. The Sacrifice of Jesus IS the ultimate example of Unconditional Love. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." Jesus called us His Friends. "From now on I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father ... " There is no test. There is no contradictions. No craziness in the Truth. Now "Christianity" {AKA Religion} is a totally different story.

"The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” Then he found one Faithful, Noah. He spared the Human Race because of ONE Man. Then because of this, He made a Promise to never totally destroy His Creation again. Yet, Man's heart was still continuously evil. So God made a distinction between the Murder of innocence, and the killing of a Murderer. There is no contradiction here either.

I may have to check that book out. Thanks again, and be Blessed.
    Peter
