Pride Of The Chosen. Serve

To serve or be served? That is the question.

We have discussed Being Chosen by God. When God chooses you, he lifts you out of the world. He justifies you. He equips you with the Anointing and Power. He changes you into a new creature. You become a Child of God. Now wait. Do you know what this actually means?

Being a Child of God means we are "then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ." We are now Royalty. We are Princes and Princesses of Heaven. The Creator of all, The God of Gods, The Great "I Am," is now our Daddy. We are so high above the World now, we can barely see it. All those that are out there, that know not God, or, refuse to accept Christ, are nothing more than a bunch of Ants running around doing their Ant stuff. Remember what Jesus said to the one that wanted to go bury his Father?
"Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God." {Luke 9:60}
We are so far above all this, it is not even fair. Now that is something to be Proud of. But be careful. Do not become Prideful.

We talked about if we are Obedient, God will Bless us in all things and in all ways.
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."{Romans 8:28}
Now that is something to be Proud of. But be careful. Do not become Prideful.

So we are so far above everyone else, Chosen, Blessed above all others, equipped, Anointed, filled with power, and God is our Daddy. We should be Kings on this Earth. These Ants should be serving us. We are so much greater than them. Right? Wrong..
"But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." {Matthew 20:25-28}
Remember, when Jesus came to John to be Baptized, John said NO WAY!!!
"But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him." {Matthew 3:14-17}
Then when Jesus came to Peter to wash his feet, Peter Said NO WAY!!!!
"He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.

Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head."
{John 13:4-9}
See, in the World, those with Power and Authority, sit in Positions, to allow others to serve them. Jesus even acknowledges this. However, Jesus IS our example of how we should live our lives..
"For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth." {Luke 22:27}
Think about this. Here is Jesus, the King of kings, and the Lord of Lords, The Word of God that became flesh and dwelt among us {John 1:14}, who at anytime could have called upon "more than twelve legions of angels" {Matthew 26:53} to wipe us all out, and save Himself from the torture and death that awaited Him. Yet He CHOSE to willing walk to it all, and lay down His life for us all.

Why? Because we earned it? Because we worked so hard? Because we were worthy? Nope. He did so while we were yet Sinners.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." {Romans 5:8}
Jesus is the ultimate example. He did not just tell us to serve others. He demonstrated it. He served us so we would serve others. After washing His Disciples feet, He told us this..
"When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet" {John 13:12-14}
Do you think that God gave you those gifts He gave you for your benefit? NO! He gave them to you to sever others..
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." {1 Peter 4:10-11}
We were Chosen. We received Gifts, Anointing, Power. We have become Children of God. We are ABOVE all others in this World. We ARE Free. However, even in this Freedom, we should use it to serve..
"For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”" {Galatians 5:13-14}
When you realize, who you are, and the Gifts you have, it is easy to become Prideful. When you read The Word, and become filled with the Wisdom of God, which makes the wisdom of the World foolishness, it is easy to become Prideful. When man-made Traditions, called Religion, seek to place you in a position of Authority, it is easy to become Prideful. But be careful not to forget, Jesus Himself came here to serve us. What are you doing?

Are you attempting to lord over others, or are you attempting to be a teller of Truth, Sower of the Seed, a Shower of the Way? Are you serving others, or attempting to be "in charge." Are you telling people about God, or do you think you ARE God. Be very careful Child of God. Become great, in the Kingdom, by serving others. Never forget what it is all about.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}

Until next time, be Blessed, be a Blessing, and Jesus IS Lord..
