Why Does God Hate Me? My Plans Always Fail

Why do my plans never work out?

Today we will wrap up our “Why Does God Hate Me?” series. I know we could keep this going for a long while to come but we will wrap it up with this, possibly the most common one of all. Why do my plans never work out? God must really hate me because my plans always fail.

Have you ever thought like this? I know I have. We all have desires and we all make plans, yet we have no clue what tomorrow will bring. Let’s look at the three most common desires that we have for ourselves and the future.

“Do you see them? Seriously? They make videos from the comfort of their own home and they have hundreds or thousands of followers. They are famous. They make thousands of dollars a week. In some cases, tens of thousands a day. Why can I not make videos and not have to go to work?”

“Look at them? They went out and said, enough of working for someone else. They started their own business and now they are rich, and they have nothing to worry about. I want to start my own business.”

“God?!? Let me hit the Lotto. I swear I will do so much good. I will give most of it away. Just let me hit it and see.”

Therein lies your answer. God does see. Oh, you can say whatever you want. I have said the last one often in the past. However, there is your answer. God DOES see. Let’s set aside this fact for a second.
“Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:13-15
Jesus said this to us.
Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:34
We have no idea what will come of tomorrow. God does. We would love to believe that we know ourselves better than anyone, including God. But the truth is, God has been in our tomorrow and knows, not thinks, not believes, knows, what we will do. If we could, we may not be asking for these things. Here are some possibilities and what I believe would be the most likely outcomes.

“Do you see them? Seriously? They make videos from the comfort of their own home and they have hundreds or thousands of followers. They are famous. They make thousands of dollars a week. In some cases, tens of thousands a day. Why can I not make videos and not have to go to work?”

Do you see the videos? What kind of content are you thinking about? Well, maybe spreading the gospel? Or a cooking thing. Or an arts and crafts thing? I have made videos and gotten about 4 views. This little girl dances in her sister's underwear and gets 62 K views and has like 50 K followers. This “Tuber” comments on funny videos, while showing cleavage and making tens of thousands of dollars a day. So you do what? You change your content. You find other things that do seem to get more views. You are chasing the dream. Think about that for a second.

You are saying in your heart, “I want to be famous. I want to have a million followers. I want people to bow down to me, by clicking the play button, and I want to make money. I want to be the next big “influencer.” The next big internet ‘god?”

Sound familiar?
“How you are fallen from heaven,

O Day Star, son of Dawn!

How you are cut down to the ground,

you who laid the nations low!

You said in your heart,

‘I will ascend to heaven;

above the stars of God

I will set my throne on high;

I will sit on the mount of the assembly

in the far reaches of the north;

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;

I will make myself like the Highest.’” Isaiah 14:12-14
This is the original sin. Pride, The desire to be like God. the desire to be God. This is what led to the fall of mankind. Be careful child of God. As the serpent whispered in Adam and Eve’s ear,
“You will be like God,” Genesis 3:5
Did you know that some of those girls dancing half in some cases nearly totally naked in front of the camera, do NOT want to do it? They are forced to by their parents, and it has been discovered that in other countries there are whole industries of underage girls who are kept in warehouse settings and forced to make videos. Look at some of these profiles. I saw this underage girl doing a dance, totally topless, and the profile said something to the effect of “account control by a parent.” So they are pimping out their daughters? Like I said, be careful child or God. You may not know any of this but God does. So He said no to you making videos.

“Look at them? They went out and said, enough of working for someone else. They started their own business and now they are rich, and they have nothing to worry about. I want to start my own business.”

What kind of business do you want to start? A Restaurant. I love to cook and be creative and people love my food. I would open a restaurant and even a food pantry. Ok. So you do. You are a big hit. Everyone loves your food. One day, your Pastor comes in, “I haven’t seen you in church for a while?” Yeah well, Sundays are one of my busiest days and I have to be here. “How is the food pantry?” Well, I haven’t really had time, but I try to feed the homeless if they show up here. “How is the family?” Well, we are separated, she said I was spending too much time here and all of our money was going back into this place. I’m opening another one down the street soon. Just wait, it will be great.

God saw this. God said sorry, but no.

“God?!? Let me hit the Lotto. I swear I will do so much good. I will give most of it away. Just let me hit it and see.”

You hit the big one. One hundred million dollars, after taxes and fees. “Ok, God, just you watch. First I tithe, that is $10 million. The pastor will be happy. Then I’m going to buy a bigger house, new cars for the family. Ok, ok, maybe a boat. I always wanted one. But don’t worry, I’m going to give most of it away. Wait, what do you mean because you are my spouse you get half? We have plans. My plans? No, we agreed. What you are leaving? Taking half?

Pastor? You know, believe it or not, the pastor is human. Flesh and blood. Susceptible to all the temptations and sins as the rest of us. In some cases, even more so. Most churches pay their pastors out of the income from the tithe and offerings. 45 to 55 percent of the budget going to staff is healthy for mid-size to larger churches. Now of course that is not just the pastor but all staff. However, let’s say the pastor gets like 20 percent. You just handed him $2 million. What will he do with it? Better yet, what will he do with the other $8 million? Will he use it to build the kingdom? Or will he take the money and run? Will he share it with the staff? What will they do? You get the point. God sees all this. God says, sorry, not sorry, but no.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
If what we are desiring, does not line up with God’s plans for us, guess what? He will say no. God knows all and sees all.
“The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.” Proverbs 15:3
He is in our yesterday, He is present in our today, and He is in our tomorrow. He knows all and He is watching out for us and our well beaning.

I have a son that LOVES fire. Loves it. My daughter loves fire too. Thinks it is pretty. I will not let them go too close to the fire pit or the stove, unsupervised. They have seen too many TV shows, magic shows, and internet nonsense, and they think, “Hey, I will not get hurt. I do not believe anything bad will happen. I can even go over there, and if I concentrate hard enough, I can reach in and pick up the fire and not get burned.” Yeah, that would be a no. Did I say no because I hate my kids? Of course not. I said no because I love them and want to protect them.

God is the same way. Forget He is God for a second and is smarter than us. I know right? But He has already seen us do these things and He has already seen the outcome. So He is back here, in this time, saying to us, “Yeah, that would be a no.”
“For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.” 1 John 3:20
We have to trust in God. Rely on God. Have faith in God. He really does have our best interest in mind. Jesus tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and all our needs will be met. {Matthew 6:33} He tells us that He came to give us life and give it more abundantly. {John 10:9-11} God is not Internet fame. God is not a private business. Go is not the lottery. He is God.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
Trust in the Lord. For He does love you. It does not matter if you think you are alone, sick, or even if you lost a loved one. It does not matter if your plans never work out, if you think you are poor, or if you never hit the lotto. You are a Child of God, and He is your Daddy. Never forget that. It doesn’t matter how you feel, or what you think. He loves you. He wants to bless you, He will be with you always. Just trust in Him.

If you have not already done so, you need to ask Jesus into your life, then say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray.

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I believed He rose from the dead. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, You shall be saved." Romans 10:9. You need to find a Church that God leads you to and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A New Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."Colossians 3:10

Book of Genesis, Chapter 12

 Chapter 12

The Call of Abram

1 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

4 So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan, 6 Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land. 7 Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring, I will give this land.” So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him. 8 From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord. 9 And Abram journeyed on, still going toward the Negeb.

Abram and Sarai in Egypt

10 Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land. 11 When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know that you are a woman beautiful in appearance, 12 and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me, but they will let you live. 13 Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.” 14 When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful. 15 And when the princes of Pharaoh saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. And the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house. 16 And for her sake, he dealt well with Abram; and he had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels.

17 But the Lord afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife. 18 So Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife? 19 Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her for my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her, and go.” 20 And Pharaoh gave men orders concerning him, and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had.

Why Does God Hate Me? I'm All Alone

 I'm all alone

Let me share a brief story with you. From kindergarten to my early teenage years, I had a friend that was close to a brother. His name is Billy. My other friend's name? Well, Billy. As I grew, Billy and I joined our little neighborhood group of kids and did everything together. It was truly a different time. We were outside from dawn til dusk and sometime after dark.

As I grew, Billy and I went our different ways. I met Jody, and we have been friends ever since. As for our sandlot-type group? Life happened. We all grew and went our separate ways. I tell you this story because I wanted to share with you, that as I grow and as I get older and hopefully wiser, I have learned that I am an exception to the rule.

See, even though I did have friends, some closer than a relative could be, I was more than happy to go home, to my little cave, and be alone. I'm not exaggerating at all. When my grandmother died, it was just me and my mother. She worked two jobs to pay the bills and to make sure we had food on the table. I was home alone from 7:30 am til 11 pm. Most days I would see my mother between 7-7:30 am.

However, as I grew, and today more than ever, I hear people say, “I need people.” “I need to be around people.” “I am so lonely.” I know many people that live what I call pack lives. They run in packs. They are always together, and some live together. I remember this one time when I had to drop something off and my wife and I walked into the house because no one answered the door, and we walked about all over the house. People were coming and going, people sleeping on the floor, and not one person asked us who we were or why we were there. They were so used to all these people coming and going that they did not care we were there. Some people will go to great lengths to not be alone. Including being in abusive relationships.

My point is, when I was alone, it was by choice. When others are alone, they hate it. They get depressed. Some become fearful. Some panic. Some drink. Some do other things. Some think to themselves, “Why does God hate me, I’m all alone.”

Do you really want the truth? Truth is, you never have to be alone. EVER. No, I’m not going to give you that old standby, “God is with you always.” Sorry to break it to you, but if you are not adopted into the family of God, then God is not with you. If you are, then yes, of course. But that is not the message.

It was never God’s plan for us to be alone. EVER. look here, all the way back, to the beginning.
“Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Now out of the ground, the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam, there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said,
“This, at last, is the bone of my bones

and flesh of my flesh;

she shall be called Woman,

because she was taken out of Man.”
Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.” Genesis 2:18-25
Read that with me again. “It is not good that the man should be alone.” Then He made all kinds of things. Can you say “service animals?” “Emotional support animals?” ETC? The problem is, these are not good enough substitutes for human contact, so? “But for Adam, there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man."

Then we see the creation of marriage.
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
God created male and female to be joined together as one. It is not good for men, or women, to be alone. It is a whole other message, but really brief, God’s plan for a family is this. Man and woman come together as one, and have children, Children grow and go out on their own, however, they are to honor their father and mother. When the time comes, if needed, they are to take care of their father or mother, in their old age.

Now we have fathers skipping out on the mother and kids. We have mothers skipping out. We have kids being completely abandoned and we have an all-out attack on God’s Family plan. We have people becoming confused and mentally ill and we are glorifying this behavior. People are being taught it is all about them, and they need to put themselves out there to gain followers and fame. The Idol of self is growing and more dangerous than you can even imagine.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. The world, however, is changing to be totally, not only opposed to God but becoming an enemy of God and will attack anyone that tries to do God’s work. Attack anyone that even brings up God or His word. Sometimes, people lose friends and family for their faith in God, and sometimes the fear of such, is the cause for people to sit and remain silent, as evil grows. They fear being attacked, or labeled, people leaving, and them being left alone.

God has an answer for you. It really is a simple answer too. Church. Yes. This. This is God’s answer to you. Church.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:23-25
The day is drawing near folks. We seem, to \me anyway, to be living in times described in Romans 1 and 2 Timothy 4:3-5. You can not grow in your faith or be fully blessed by God if you stay home and do not go to church. If you stay in the broken world and hang out with broken people, you cannot nor will you ever, truly understand what it is like to be in God’s Family. Trust me, that TV Preacher? Well, be careful child of God. They are not, uh, all, serving God and leading you to Him.

Look what Jesus said to Peter.
“Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” Mark 10:28-31
When you say this prayer, if you have not yet, and you believe that Jesus came to earth, was crucified for you and your sins, and rose on the third day, then say this prayer now with me. Say it in your own words if you wish.

Do you pray that prayer? If so, you are now a child of God. You have been adopted into the family of God.
“and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” Romans 8:17
You now have a huge family. Look what Jesus said, when His earthly fleshly family showed up looking for Him.
“While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers stood outside, asking to speak to him. But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:46-50
You really need to truly get this. When you join a local church, all of a sudden, you have a family. You have countless mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, grandparents even. Look what Jesus said on the cross.
“When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.” John 19:26-27
You may not have an earthly mother. Your earthly family may choose to leave you and you may lose friends because of your faith in God. Because of the name Jesus. However, this does not really matter. As Jesus said.
Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”
If you are in the right church, they are your family. We are to do life together. The church is not about a day a week if you feel like it. The church is the people. We are to laugh together, cry together, and do life together. We are to be the family God wants us to be. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Do you need something? Call your mother Mary. Or your grandma Betty. Or your uncle Thomas, or your brother Bob. You should be in a church where you can always get in contact with the Pastor.

Truth is, you NEVER have to be alone unless you choose to be. God even says “It is not good that the man should be alone” He has many ways for you not to be. If you have not, join a local church. Pray about it. Allow God to lead you to the one he wants you to be a part of. That is your family. Start looking at them as such.
“And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:46-47
Not a day a week. EVERY day of the week. Your family is waiting for you. Come join us, won't you?

If you want to contact me there is a brand new Email, it's truthbygod1@gmail.com

Book of Genesis, Chapter 11

 Chapter 11

The Tower of Babel

11 Now the whole earth had one language and the same words. 2 And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. 3 And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.” 5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another's speech.” 8 So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city. 9 Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

Shem's Descendants

10 These are the generations of Shem. When Shem was 100 years old, he fathered Arpachshad two years after the flood. 11 And Shem lived after he fathered Arpachshad 500 years and had other sons and daughters.

12 When Arpachshad had lived 35 years, he fathered Shelah. 13 And Arpachshad lived after he fathered Shelah 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

14 When Shelah had lived 30 years, he fathered Eber. 15 And Shelah lived after he fathered Eber 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

16 When Eber had lived 34 years, he fathered Peleg. 17 And Eber lived after he fathered Peleg 430 years and had other sons and daughters.

18 When Peleg had lived 30 years, he fathered Reu. 19 And Peleg lived after he fathered Reu 209 years and had other sons and daughters.

20 When Reu had lived 32 years, he fathered Serug. 21 And Reu lived after he fathered Serug 207 years and had other sons and daughters.

22 When Serug had lived 30 years, he fathered Nahor. 23 And Serug lived after he fathered Nahor 200 years and had other sons and daughters.

24 When Nahor had lived 29 years, he fathered Terah. 25 And Nahor lived after he fathered Terah 119 years and had other sons and daughters.

26 When Terah had lived 70 years, he fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

Terah's Descendants

27 Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran fathered Lot. 28 Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his kindred, in Ur of the Chaldeans. 29 And Abram and Nahor took wives. The name of Abram's wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and Iscah. 30 Now Sarai was barren; she had no child.

31 Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram's wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there. 32 The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran.

Why Does God Hate Me? I'm So Poor

 I'm so poor.

“Seriously. I live paycheck to paycheck and sometimes, I do not even make it. I’ve cut out all kinds of things, I go without. Sometimes I even have to borrow money to make it through. Then sometimes, I have even lost friends and made loved ones mad at me, because I could not pay them back. Look at all these other people. I was saying something to a neighbor, and without asking he pulled out like two hundred dollars and handed me one hundred and said here ya go. Why can I not have two hundred bucks just sitting in my pocket? God must really hate me.”

The last one is a true story from me. It is also what I truly thought at the time. Man, that would be nice. Please do not misunderstand where this is going. Let me make this one hundred percent clear. This is NOT the “Prosperity Gospel.” I am not going to get up here and say something to the effect, “God loves you. Just plant a seed and He will bless you. Give me a thousand dollars, and all your troubles will go away. You will be healthy wealthy and wise. If you are not, well, that is your fault, just have more faith.”

First off, this is a lie straight from the evil one himself. Second, it is not even remotely close to what the Word of God says. As a matter of fact, it is the opposite of God’s plan for you and your life. Think about this. Why would Jesus say this?
“And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19-23-24
Then turn around and make people rich? However, God does bless us. He does make us rich. But let’s stick to a worldly sense. We have talked about this before, and some find this difficult to comprehend. But if you live in this country, and you make a mere $10,000.00 a year, you are some of the richest people in the world. Our government forces most employers to pay FAR more than that. Think about the American poor. A roof over your head, running water, heat, AC, TVs, video games, one or two cars in the driveway to come and go whenever you want, a computer, AKA phone in your pocket. And if you cannot work? The government will take care of almost all of these needs.

World poor? Eat dirt and die. Do not work? Stave to death. I remember hearing when Obama was the President, that someone in the media discovered that he had a brother who was living in a shack, living off just twenty dollars a year. So you are not poor, even in a worldly sense. We must change our way of thinking as well.

God is not concerned with our vision or understanding of riches. He wants to bless us and He wants us to have a relationship with Him. He wants to be our “daddy,” and He will take care of us. Jesus puts it this way.
Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ orWhat shall we drink?’ orWhat shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:25-33
Look what He says here. For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all." And then He says Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” But? There is a but there. What does He mean by “but?” Rather than. He is telling us rather than, worrying about everything, especially the basic needs we have, seek Him and His Kingdom. Grow closer to Him. Allow your faith to grow to a point where you completely trust and rely on Him. Not of yourself, or a job, or the world, but Him.

This is why Jesus said this to us.
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
Let me share with you a short personal story. My testimony. I have been blessed over the years and have worked in Security, Corporate Investigations, Night Auditor, and Hotel Manager for ten years. I have been a cook, Dock Worker, and the last worldly job I had was for a local city government for 11 years. I actually loved all of them. Well, maybe not the dock worker so much, but the rest. Then I started having some medical issues. I tried to have them fire me, true story, I asked the big boss to do that, instead, they gave me a leave of absence. Now normally, this leave lasts two to three months, and then you have to quit or go back. Mine lasted over a year. During this time I became the Facility Director of my local Church. Then I was involved in a head-on car crash. Now out with all the medical issues and a broken leg that made me handicapped.

Could I have hated God for all this? Is this all not “bad” in some cases, “horrible” things that I have been going through? I’m a Husband and a Father of three, well, four really, children and how am I going to take care of them? I’m not. God is. You see, through all this, God made sure that we never missed a bill, went without food, or had to truly worry about anything. Why? I was doing what He asked me to do. I was tithing, having a relationship with Him, and trying to grow in my relationship with Him and His word.

Please do not miss understand here. I did not discover a rich uncle that died and left me a fortune. A magical mystical check for a million dollars did not show up in my bank account. I did not hit the Lotto. But you know what? There was no more need. Look here.
“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 3:10-11
I can hear someone saying “See?!?!? I thought you said you were not going to talk about giving you money.” I’m not. I talk about what God commands. It is not me telling you to sow and reap and give me $1000.00 to be blessed. This is me telling you the same thing God tells you. If you tithe, which is 10 percent of what you make, then God says,
“I will open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts.”
Have you ever been in that situation? Where you get paid and all of a sudden, the bills come in, and “devour” your bank account balance. God promises if you are faithful and obedient, and you are His child, tithing, and relying on Him, that He “will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear,” In other words, you will have enough income, to cover what you need to cover, and you will be blessed by God, to the point where there is no more need.

I seriously cannot tell you how often in my life, that I got paid on Friday, yet by Monday afternoon, I have very little left. Yet somehow? God, say God. Somehow. It all seems to work out and I make it to the next payday. I may not have millions, ok I may not have thousands, in the bank, but I have never been in real need. I’m been blessed with big things, A Camper, a Truck, two Jeeps, when I could not afford one of them, and I've been blessed with the little, food on the table. Lights on. Running water.

Now do not get me wrong, Would I love to say, hit the lotto, or find that rich uncle I never knew about and wake up with millions in the bank? Of course. Will that happen? God knows what I will do if it did. So I doubt it. I would love to think I would do so much good with it, however, God is in my future, He knows me better than I know me, therefore, what will be will be.
"Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?” And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” Luke 12:13-15
Why does one covet? Because it is a natural, fleshly desire. Keeping up with the Jones. The love of money. Remember what the word tells us
“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” 1 Timothy 6:10
We see stories all through the Word, David coveted Bathsheba which lead to rape and murder. King Ahab coveted the Vineyard of Naboth which lead to deceit and murder.
“Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
This is one of the things that is really hard to learn and fully comprehend. It is human nature to want more. I’m trying to teach my children this. They may not have everything they desire when they desire it. However, they always have what they need. I, as their father, take care of all the things they need not even worry about. They go to sleep and dream dreams. They get up take showers, eat breakfast or not, go out, come in, put on new clothes, and get comfy with old ones. Watch TV, or play video games. They ask me for things all the time. When possible, I will bless them from time to time. They do not work. They do not worry. They know, Daddy is here. Daddy will keep us, feed us, give us drinks when we are thirsty, clothe us, teach us, protect us, and love us. Always.

I got news for ya. Your heavenly Father will do the same. Why? Because he loves us. Because He desires to be our Daddy.
“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” Romans 8:14-17
Daddy is here. Daddy will keep us, feed us, give us drinks when we are thirsty, clothe us, teach us, protect us, and love us. Always. If you have been adopted into the Family of God, you ARE a Child of the Creator of the Universe. The Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the get I Am is your Daddy. Trust Him. Believe Him, Obey Him. Love Him. He loves you. He will never leave you. He will bless you more than you can imagine, sometimes in ways you can not even comprehend. Trust me, even if you have a 0 in your bank account at this time, you are richer than you can ever possibly know or understand. All because God does love you.

Have you been adopted into God’s Family?

Book of Genesis, Chapter 10

 Chapter 10

Nations Descended from Noah

1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood.

2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5 From these the coastland peoples spread in their lands, each with his own language, by their clans, in their nations.

6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan. 7 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. 8 Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. 9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and 12 Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city. 13 Egypt fathered Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, Casluhim (from whom the Philistines came), and Caphtorim.

15 Canaan fathered Sidon his firstborn and Heth, 16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, 17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, 18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward, the clans of the Canaanites dispersed. 19 And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20 These are the sons of Ham, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations.

21 To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, children were born. 22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram. 23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. 24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber. 25 To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan. 26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan. 30 The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha in the direction of Sephar to the hill country of the east. 31 These are the sons of Shem, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations.

32 These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these, the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.

Why Does God Hate Me? Sickness

I am sick so God must hate me.

If you have spent any time on TV Preachers, you may very well have heard something like this.

“God loves you. He only wants the best for you. Just plant a seed and you will reap health wealth and wisdom. Yes, child of God, just give a healthy seed and you will be healthy. Pray to the God that raises the dead and He will heal you of anything that ails you. If you have been sick for a while, it is because the devil has you. The devil wants you. You just need to have more faith. Come on child of God, God wants you healthy, wealthy, and wise.”

First and foremost, this is false. As a matter of fact, this is a false teaching straight out of hell, most of the time from a preacher that is using God to get wealthy himself. It is a lie. How much faith do you think Paul had? Look at his life.
“But whatever anyone else dares to boast of—I am speaking as a fool—I also dare to boast of that. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they offspring of Abraham? So am I. Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, countless beatings, and often near death. Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.” 2 Corinthians 11:21-27
This is the man who was taught directly by the risen Christ Himself. The man who wrote a good percentage of the New Testament we read today. A man of the deepest faith known. A man that saw Jesus face to face and turned into one of the greatest evangelists that ever walked the earth. If God was going to bless anyone in this way, do you not think it would be him? Does it sound like he was healthy wealthy and wise? Were any of the disciples?

As a matter of fact, Paul can also show us this. Did you know he was sick? Now we do not know exactly what was wrong with him but he wrote this.
“So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:7-8
Read that again, Paul prayed and asked God three times, it says “I pleaded with the Lord.” He uses the word pleaded. To make an emotional appeal, or to present and argue for something. So God heard this prayer, this plea, this begging from His messenger Paul and He healed him right? Wrong. Look what Paul says was God’s response. But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” God said no.

It was not God that brought sin, sickness, disease, and death into this world. It was us. His creation did this. Can God heal you? Of course. Jesus raised the dead. It is wrong to ask Him to? Of course not. But there is no guarantee that God will.

Why? God knows our suffering and our sicknesses, ills, depression, whatever, He knows what will happen to us if He does heal us. He knows what will happen to others around us while we are sick, and or what will happen to others around us if He does heal us. Look at some examples in the Word of people of God who seems to not have been healed.

Jacob was ill and nearly blind on his deathbed. Genesis 48

King David, “A man after God’s own heart.” Died at around 70, cold and bedridden. 1 Kings 1

Elisha was sick and died from it.
“Now when Elisha had fallen sick with the illness of which he was to die, Joash king of Israel went down to him and wept before him, crying, “My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” 2 Kings 13:14
Amaziah, king of Judah {Good King}
“And the Lord touched the king, so that he was a leper to the day of his death, and he lived in a separate house. And Jotham the king's son was over the household, governing the people of the land.” 2 Kings 15:5
Did God heal these people? No. Why? God knows. There was a reason. Sickness can happen for all sorts of reasons. Death can and does happen for all kinds of reasons. Paul tells Timothy, who was apparently sick often, that he should drink a little wine as well as just water. Look here.
“No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.” 1 Timothy 5:23
Another faithful and blessed man of God who was sick often. What about you? You are sick? Maybe you were born a certain way? Maybe you heard these things above and you are depressed that God has not healed you. You may be fearing death. Here is something else to think about. It may not be about you.

Look what Jesus said about the blind man.
“As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him.” John 9:1-3
Look what Jesus said at the news of the death of His friend Lazarus.
“But when Jesus heard it he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” John 11:4
Let me tell you a brief personal story. I was married and blessed with three beautiful children. I was working a Job I love. Going to the gym three or four times a week. I was around 250 pounds with an athletic figure. An active member of my local church. Around 8 years ago, I started having some issues. I was tired. I was unable to sleep at night. Went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Severe Obstructed Sleep Apnea. Did the sleep study thing and they found I have the worse case that many involved ever saw. I left my full-time job because they kinda frown on you falling asleep while driving a city-owned vehicle down the road. I was blessed with the opportunity to join the staff at my church and become the Facility Director.

All good right? Well, then I was involved in a head-on crash that broke my leg so severely that I am now disabled. Walk with a cane. Through this process, I was also diagnosed with Diabetes, COPD, Obesity, now 310 pounds, and started to battle depression. God hasn’t healed me yet. Guess He hates me.

This is not true. God does not hate me. If none of this happened, I would not have met the people I have and had the free time to do some of the things I have done. Been blessed with time with my wife and kids. I feel incredibly blessed. I am a living example of Romans 8:28
“And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Is SOSA, COPD, Diabetes, and a broken leg that made me even more disabled, good? Would God want me, as His child, to suffer? No. Of course not. But through all this, I have been more than blessed and have more time to do things like, well, this. Share the Word of God with people. To be at a friend’s side at a moment's notice in their time of need. If none of that happened, I would be working for the City, Monday through Friday, sometimes, Saturday, 7 am - 5 pm sometime later. I would still be wondering if life really is all about working, to pay bills. Got news for ya. It’s not.

All false teaching is evil and dangerous. Like all false teaching, the idea that every Christian should be physically healed miraculously leads to emotional severe, and spiritual consequences. Lies, even pious ones, are NOT innocent things. The false teaching of immediate physical healing for everyone leads many to judge others or despair over their "lack of faith."

It is so dangerous, that it even causes some parents to not give their children needed medical attention, and the world is outraged when the children die. Sometimes when a loved one dies or the individual himself is not healed, the person may become so disillusioned with God "not keeping His promises" that he leaves the faith entirely. They feel that “God hates me.” He doesn’t. Instead of concentrating on miraculous healing, start looking around at what you do have. Pray that God’s will will be done in your life. Ask Him what He wants you to do. You may be surprised.

Can God heal you? Of course. Will He do so when and how you want Him to? Maybe. Maybe the answer will be no. Will God heal you if you give me a thousand-dollar “seed?” Uh, no. Sorry. Your money and where you put it have nothing to do with your health. However, if you do not know Jesus, even perfect health means nothing.

You need to ask Jesus into your life, then say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Lead your children in this prayer when they reach the age of accountability.

You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."Colossians 3:10

May the comfort of the Holy Ghost, and the peace of our Lord Jesus, be with you all. May God bless and be with you, always.

Book of Genesis, Chapter 9

 Chapter 9

1 And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. 2 The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything. 4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. 5 And for your lifeblood I will require a reckoning: from every beast I will require it and from man. From his fellow man I will require a reckoning for the life of man.

6 “Whoever sheds the blood of man,

by man shall his blood be shed,

for God made man in his own image.

7 And you, be fruitful and multiply, increase greatly on the earth and multiply in it.”

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him, 9 “Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you, 10 and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations: 13 I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17 God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”

Noah's Descendants

18 The sons of Noah who went forth from the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the people of the whole earth were dispersed.

20 Noah began to be a man of the soil, and he planted a vineyard. 21 He drank of the wine and became drunk and lay uncovered in his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father and told his two brothers outside. 23 Then Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and walked backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were turned backward, and they did not see their father's nakedness. 24 When Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,

“Cursed be Canaan;

a servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.”

26 He also said,

“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Shem;

and let Canaan be his servant.

27 May God enlarge Japheth,

and let him dwell in the tents of Shem,

and let Canaan be his servant.”

28 After the flood Noah lived 350 years. 29 All the days of Noah were 950 years, and he died.

Why Does God Hate Me? Death of a Loved One

 Death of a Loved One

This one is going to be a little more difficult for me to teach, as I have just lost a dear friend of mine. His name is Tom, and he and his wife were married for 56 years. I have been friends with them for a long time. They both went to church on a Friday night prayer service and went out to eat after. He even told Dawn, his wife, that he felt good. They went home, went to bed, and she found in the morning that he was gone.

He, they both were and she is, my dearest of friends, and like family to me. I miss him so very much. I cannot even imagine how she feels. They were married longer than I have been alive. He was old school. She was his queen. He did everything for her. Now he is no longer here. If anyone was a candidate to get angry with God, hate god, or think God hates them, she is.

I could be angry for God taking my friend home. My niece has basically turned her back on God after the passing of her mother. She is of the opinion that “Hey God hates me, so I hate Him back.” But is this the reality of the situation? I believe that in one aspect, it comes from the fear of death itself.

I understand that many fear death. It is natural to fear the unknown. But it doesn't have to be the unknown. Being a child of God, you know what to expect. You understand, that when that time comes for you, it is not a punishment. It is not a horrific event. It comes because it must. Turn to Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
"For everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace."
Read that part again. “a time to be born, and a time to die” Death is just as a part of life as life itself. A little bit later it says this.
"For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity.”
In other words, death will come. There is an appointed time. We all must face our immortality in this temporal world. I truly believe that our fear is in what comes next. However, Jesus tells us what comes next...
Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." John 14:1-3
What is heaven like? Well, the truth is, we really cannot even comprehend it. Oh, we see glimpses in Revelations. Streets paved in gold, God on His throne. No sickness, disease, or sorrow. If you are a Child of God and adopted into the family through faith in Jesus, there is no more death. However, there is no way our human limited little minds, could even come close to comprehending what heaven is like. As a matter of fact, we read this.
“But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him” 1 Corinthians 2:9
We cannot even comprehend the concept. Not truly. For the child of God, or the “Christian” death is merely a transition. It is a new beginning. A first day into eternity. Which is also not something we can easily grasp.

If God wants us to live forever with Him, then why did He create death, to begin with? Well, here is where it gets a little tough for some. Let's look at the beginning. God created everything and then He created us to be in charge and with Him. We were in the Garden of Eden and God was too. Look here.
“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” Genesis 3:8
They were there in paradise that God created, and they “heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden.” They were there with Him, and He was with them. However, they sinned against God and gave all their authority over to the devil. So now THEY allowed sin and sickness, and pain and sorrow, and yes, even death, to enter into God's perfect creation. It was not God. It was us.

Why did God create death? God created a perfect union between Him and us. We brought sin into it which did what? Separated us from God. They sinned continuously, to the point we started to sleep with angels and created a new race that was never intended by God and continue to sin. If the end result of all sin is continued separation from god, then God no longer wanted us to sin forever, so He made this decree in Genesis 6
“My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” Genesis 6:3
Up till then, people were living for hundreds and hundreds of years. Noah was 950 when he died. Death was actually a gift to us. A way to leave this sin-infested world and be joined back with Him fully in paradise.

However, we still sinned and so He sent the Law, prophets and teachers, and showers of the way. We abused and killed them. So He put off His own Godhood, and became like one of us, He became flesh and paid the ultimate sacrifice for us. All we have to do is accept it. That is the beauty and may I say the grace of it. It does not matter who you are, where you are from, what your parents were, and or what they believed. It does not matter what you have in the bank, or what you do for a living. All you have to do is accept Jesus. It is not exclusive, it is all-inclusive because He wants all to repent and come to Him.

Is it too late for someone who rejects Jesus and rejects God, when they die? The sad truth is, Yes, it would appear so. However, I do not know their hearts and I do not know God’s plan or purpose for that individual person. Can He forgive them as they stand before Him? Of course. He is God. However, the Word makes it clear that there will be many who end up going to a place prepared for the devil and his angels. This is why He wants us, His children, to share the gospel and to tell people there is a better way and His name is Jesus.

I know, without any doubt whatsoever, that my friend Tom is with the Lord. He is doing whatever it is you do when you go there. He is not in pain, not sick, not hurting. I do not even believe he is missing me or anything else on this planet. He is with our Lord and our Father. He is seeing things that we cannot even comprehend. He was in his 70s when God called him home. Is this something to be feared?

Remember, for God, our time on earth is nothing. Even time as we know it. The world as we know it will come to an end.
"But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! But according to his promise, we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace. And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." 2 Peter 3:8-18
This is why Jesus tells us to seek first the Kingdom of God. We are His children, He will meet our needs. All this "stuff" the world has to offer is nothing. It's here one moment and gone the next. As a child of God, you are immortal. You are going to live forever in paradise and with our Lord. This is not something to fear. This is something to look forward to.

When one of our loved ones, passes on, from here to there, we will mourn them. This is normal. It is human. It is natural. My wife Laura got a contracted Job at one point. The pay was good. The experience was great. It was a big deal for her. So she took it. Two months across the other side of our state. She left. Did I miss her? Of course. Everyday. Did our kids miss her? Of course, every day. But you know what? We all knew that we would see her again one day soon. We did.

That child of God, your loved one, just got on a bus, or a train, and left. They are on their way to or they are in Paradise. They are far better off than you, who are still here, dealing with this world of sin, sickness, and evil. Celebrate them. Thank God for taking them home. Just know, one day, you will see them again.

Death is not evidence of God hating you. Not a loved one’s death, or even your own. As a matter of fact, it is a blessing. If you lost a loved one, and you are still here, that simply means that you are not done yet. You still have something to do. Pray to God. Ask Him what it is now. What is the next step? Of course, you may be hurting or sad, missing your loved one, but God has something left for you to do here on earth. That and simply, for your departed loved one, it was simply their time.

Do you need Jesus in your life? If you believe that Jesus is the answer and is needed in your life, then say this Prayer.
