Supernatural is real, The Devil.

 The devil is real,

I know. I know. This is not one of those warm fuzzy Messages. I know, I know. This is not a Message that is taught all that much, even in some very well-meaning churches. However, it is the truth. It is a truth that is inescapable. An absolute truth that is a constant. Never changing, ever-present, non-negotiating, truth. There is a war going on, and you are on one side or the other.

One of the greatest accomplishments of the devil is convincing the world that he doesn't exist. No devil, then no Hell. No devil, no hell, no sin. No sin, no reason for a Savior. No Savior, no God. No evil means no good. No hell, then no heaven. No judgment for sin, if there is no sin. Simply, live as you will.

As we have discussed in the past, he needs to do nothing to coerce you into doing anything. You are already his. All you have to do is NOT accept the Christ that IS Jesus. That's it. Live as you will. Do as you will. There is no need to change a thing.

It's like you, having two twenty dollar bills in your pocket. I take one, and put it in my pocket, and walk away. Which bill are you thinking about? The one in your pocket? Or the one in mine? Chances are, you are really angry that I took one of your bills. You want it back. You want me to stop taking your bills. You are thinking of ways for me to stop taking your bills. The last thing you are thinking about is the one in your pocket. Why? You already have that one. No. You are concerned with the one that got away from you. By me.

Satan is the same way. He doesn't care about you if you already belong to him. He cares about you once you leave. He will do whatever he can, to make sure that you do not take any more from him. So that's when you really have to be careful.

Jesus tells us the devil is real. Luke 10:18-19
"And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall hurt you."
If he was not real, would Jesus warn us against him? Jesus told the Priests, and the Rulers of the Synagogues that reject Him {Jesus}, that,
"You are of your father the devil." John 8:44
The devil is very real. Let's go to Ezekiel 28:13-18
"You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle; and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created, they were prepared. You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you.

In the abundance of your trade, you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you, O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Your heart was proud because of your beauty; you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground; I exposed you before kings, to feast their eyes on you. By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your trade, you profaned your sanctuaries; so I brought fire out from your midst; it consumed you, and I turned you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all who saw you.."
Who was God talking to? Lucifer. Son of the morning. Some say the first angel. The most beautiful angel. He is not some Hollywood created demon as depicted in the picture above. In Isaiah 14:12-17
"How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’

But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit. Those who see you will stare at you and ponder over you: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world like a desert and overthrew its cities, who did not let his prisoners go home?’"
You see, the devil is NOT, some red-faced, horned head, tail wagging, pitchfork-wielding, a demon straight out of a Hollywood horror movie. He is not a creature so hideous, that you would run in terror if you saw him. He is "son of the morning." The "Day Star" He is as beautiful as "every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold." Truth is, if he was to walk into a Church, many would fall down and worship him, thinking he was Jesus Himself. He is what he is.

Second, he is NOT all-powerful. This is an important fact for you to understand. The devil IS the lord of the Air. He is in control of this natural realm. As long as you are of this world, you are of him. You are in his hand. However, the Word tells us he needs permission to tempt the children of God. We see this in Job 1 and 2. We see this when Jesus said to Peter,
"Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat," Luke 22:31
The Word declares this in James 4:7
"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.."
It does not say, resist the devil and he MAY. It says "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We see this when Jesus tells us we should not fear the devil. Or anything, but God Himself.
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28
Of course, we see this in the end. When Satan is cast out and "brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit. Those who see {him} will stare at {him} and ponder over {him}: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world like a desert and overthrew its cities, who did not let his prisoners go home?’ So he is not all-powerful. He is not a creature that can simply come in and destroy you and your life and bring you into chains to torment you forever. That's Hollywood. Not the devil.

\But do not be misled. He is very real. He is capable of many destructive things. He can ruin your life if you let him. He works in the ways he knows and the sin that brought him down in the first place is very much alive and well in this world. Pride. Think about this for a second. What was Satan's sin? Pride, greed, envy, desire for power. The desire to be God.

Look at the world. "He with the most toys at the end wins." People will lie, cheat, steal, and even kill, for? Pride, greed, envy, desire for power. The desire to be God. Mankind fell for Pride, greed, envy, desire for power. The desire to be God. God told Adam not to eat of one Tree. The devil told Eve what?
“But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4-5
Truth is, it came into our nature, Human nature, then.
"The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart." Genesis 6:5-9
Truth is, we do not need the devil to tempt us. We are evil all by ourselves. We create evil things. We do evil things. We are evil. The devil gets blamed for a lot of things we do, yet, the truth is, it is nothing more than human nature. It is who we are. It is what we do.

This is why it is important to be adopted out of the family of the devil, and into the family of God. This is why it is so important to be "Born Again." To become a child of God. For
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:1-4
Where the Spirit of Life is, the Spirit of Death no longer has any effect. The devil can tempt you. You can do sinful things. But ultimately, you belong to God. Without the Spirit of Life, you belong to the devil himself. He doesn't have to do anything. You are already his.

Also, think about this. The end result of the devil is death. He has already failed. There is a war going on. You are on one side or the other. Here is the thing though, unlike the wars in the natural, we already know who wins and who loses. God wins. The devil loses. Who's side are you on? Are you sure?

The devil is real. Be careful.
"Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.:" 1 Peter 5:8
Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will heal you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray.

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a Sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus and His Sacrifice for me. I believe that He raised from the Dead. I repent my Sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is just that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved." Romans 10:9 You need to find a Church that God leads you to and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A New Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." Colossians 3:10

Book of John, Chapter 2

 Chapter 2,

On the third day, there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Now there were six stone water jars there for the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty gallons. Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.  And he said to them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the feast.” So they took it. When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” This, the first of his signs, Jesus did at Cana in Galilee, and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

After this, he went down to Capernaum, with his mother and his brothers and his disciples, and they stayed there for a few days.

The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. In the temple, he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money-changers sitting there. And making a whip of cords, he drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and oxen. And he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables. And he told those who sold the pigeons, “Take these things away; do not make my Father's house a house of trade.” His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”

So the Jews said to him, “What sign do you show us for doing these things?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” The Jews then said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?” But he was speaking about the temple of his body. When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.

Supernatural is Real, Hell

Hell and Heaven are real places.

First, a little bit of a spoiler to the end of this series, you are supernatural, EVERYONE will live on after death.
"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." Daniel 12:2
Jesus tells us this.
"And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matthew 25:46
We read in Revelations what happens to us after the great white throne judgment
"Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:14-15
So we ARE going to all live on. Where we live, is what we must decide. We only have one opportunity. This life here and now.
"And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment" Hebrews 9:27
I know, I know, this seems to contradict the fact that a loving God created us. Why would a loving God create us, make us flawed, and then create a place for us to go where we suffer for an eternity? The short easy answer? He didn't. God never created hell for man. It was never His intent for us to go there.
Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." Matthew 25:41
Read that carefully. Jesus says "prepared for the devil and his angels." Not for man/ Never intended for man. However, since the fall, we are on our way to join the devil. If there were no hell, then let me ask you this. What exactly is Jesus "Saving" you from?

The eternal fire, AKA hell, was created for who? "The devil and his angels." God is not an old man, sitting on a throne, waiting to see how many He can cast into hell. He is not sitting there waiting for you to slip up so He can punish you. He never intended you to go to hell at all. He created hell for one purpose. "The devil and his angels."

Jesus talks about hell as much, some say even more than He does about Heaven. Matthew 5:22, 29, Matthew 10:28 {Good advice I think}Mark 9, Luke 10:15, Luke 16:23. Just to name a few places.

He is warning us about it. He does not want anyone to go there. He would not waste His time warning us about someplace that does not exist. He wants as many to be saved from that as possible.
"The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.." 2 Peter 3:9
One of the reasons that many do not like to teach, or accept that hell is real, is that they do not want to think that there is someone that they have lost there as we speak, being tortured continuously. I really believe that the word teaches us that although hell is a real place, it is not open for business, if you will, yet. I believe it teaches very clearly that hell is future tense. Look at Job 21:30-32
"that the evil man is spared in the day of calamity, that he is rescued in the day of wrath? Who declares his way to his face, and who repays him for what he has done? When he is carried to the grave, a watch is kept over his tomb."
Then this in 2 Peter 3:7
"But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly."
However, I have some good news for you. Just like hell, is a real place, so is Heaven.
"In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going." John 14:2-4
In Revelations, we read this.
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4
This is a very real place. We will be going there to be with the Lord if we accept His sacrifice for us. We are only here for a time. Jesus tells us we need to be more concerned with the time to come, than this one of which we live. Even while doing work. He tells us this.
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." Matthew 6:19-21
Listen, folks. We are only here for a really brief time. The word declares that our life is but a vapor. Here one minute, gone the next. James 4:14.

Think about it this way. How long is your life? 75 years? If you are blessed with a long and healthy life. I hope you are. But what are 75 years? The Bible tells us that to one of God's days, is a thousand of our years. 2 Peter 3:8. So? You are born, You grow up. Graduate Highschool. Go to college. Meet the love of your life, get married, have kids of your own. They grow. The graduate. They get married, They have kids. So the cycle goes, God hasn't even finished His morning coffee. You are still here witnessing all this. All this happens within 75 years. God eats breakfast and your children's children go through the cycle. Some may even remember you. Some may not.

Before God has lunch, speaking in humans terms, of course, an illustration if you will, over 300 years have pasted here on earth. How many people, just in your family, have lived before this? We still have another 700 years to go, before God decides, He has completed His day and turns in. Again, God never sleeps so I'm illustrating this in human terms. Now, this is all just a thousand years. What about eternity? Point is, life here is short. It will end. There is so much more waiting for us. Choose wisely.

Book of John, Chapter 1

Chapter 1

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.

The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

And this is the testimony of John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” So they said to him, “Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”  He said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

(Now they had been sent from the Pharisees.) They asked him, “Then why are you baptizing, if you are neither the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” John answered them, “I baptize with water, but among you stands one you do not know, even he who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie.” These things took place in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptizing.

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me.’ I myself did not know him, but for this purpose, I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel.” And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’  And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”

The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them, “What are you seeking?” And they said to him, “Rabbi” (which means Teacher), “where are you staying?” He said to them, “Come and you will see.” So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means Christ).  He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas” (which means Peter).

The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!” Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” And he said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

Supernatural is Real, Evil

Evil.

Today, I was going to talk about the fact that all three evil, hell, and the devil are supernatural and real. However, as I started to prepare the message today, I realized, pretty quickly, that we need to spend time on all three. These are three topics that are nearly forgotten to teach our youth. Some churches today will not even teach them. Society downplays them. If not completely teaches the opposite. So we will start today with evil.

Evil is real. Used to be,. in the world, along with our country, that it really did not matter who you were. It did not matter what you were. Catholic, Jew, even Atheist, we could all pretty much agree, if you call it "sin" or not, that evil is real and it is bad. We knew that murder was evil. We knew that committing adultery was evil and bad. We understood that stealing is evil and bad. We created laws, that were based on the Ten Commandments, by the way, for this purpose. To keep people from doing such things. To protect the innocent from people who do such things.

Now, as time went by, people started to soften on sin. First, we stopped calling it sin. Part of that whole nonexistent "Wall of Separation" in this country. "Sin" would represent God and the Bible and we cannot have that in our "secular society." But that is ok. We still agree on what evil is. Right?

Well, no. Evil is another word that would at least suggest we are talking about God and the Bible. Let's just call it bad. But wait, if it is not "sin," or "evil," why should we call it bad? Bad by who's standards? Just because you may not agree, doesn't mean it is bad. Who are you to judge? What bases do you have to tell me. or anyone else what is bad?

You believe in stealing? "If a family is hungry, and someone takes money from a millionaire and gives it to the poor, yeah, I'm good with that."

So you believe in adultery? "Hey, what two consenting adults do behind closed doors? Who cares. If they are not hurting anyone, who are you to say that they are wrong?"

Murder? We can at least agree on that one. "Uh, no. First, you call it murder for a woman to choose a medical procedure, because she does not want to be stuck with a child. Second, I'm not sure I have a problem with letting older people dye off, even if we need to assist them so that we can afford healthcare and resources for those of us that are still trying to live our lives. So it really depends on what you call "murder."

The sad truth is, this is all too real. But it is not just stealing, adultery, and murder, it is so much more than those. As a matter of fact, the Bible says this.
"So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin." James 4:17
Wait. What does this mean? It means what it says. If you know something is the right thing to do, and you chose to not do it, for you, it is sin. Or evil. This is why the Bible tells us that we are blessed if our sins are covered.
"Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit." Psalm 32:1-2
But let's look at some of the things, that you may not think about as evil. How about that statue of Mary? That statue of Jesus Himself? The Cross? These are Idols. There is no life in them Exodus 20:4-6
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments."
What about astrology? Horoscopes and such? I have known people that will not leave their homes until they find out what their horoscopes say about their day. The sun, moon, and stars will not protect you, nor keep you safe. When you look at them, you are looking at a creation. They are to God, what the most beautiful building is to man. They are simply, created things. They have no life in them.
"And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven." Deuteronomy 4:19
Can you say, "Harry Potter?" Sabrina the Teenage Witch?" Wicca? Mediums ad such? Oh come on, these are not real. Stories and Hollywood. Right? No. Not right. First, think about this, why would God warn you about something that does not exist? I will not warn my kids about the giant purple bunny in the back yard. Why? because there is none back there. God is not going to warn us about something that does not exist.
"There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lord your God," Deuteronomy 18:10-13
God warns His people against divination {the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means.} "Observer of Times" {same as astrology or stargazing. It is another form of divination. This also includes horoscopes or anything that takes the place of God's direction in your life.} an "Enchanter" {A magician; or sorcerer. One who casts spells; or bewitches.} A witch {a person who practices magic. One who deals with demonic spirits. It does not matter if they practice "Black" or "White magic." There is no such thing as good magic.}

A charmer {To put a spell upon someone; to change things by the use of magic} A consulter with familiar spirits {A medium who believes, or wants you to believe, they are contacting the dead,} A wizard {A male witch, a sorcerer, or magician, conjurer; one who uses magic to have control over another person; also someone who uses magic to change nature} A necromancer {A person who claims they have spoken with those who have died already. Contact is made for magical and fortune-telling purposes}
"Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:31
All these warnings are coming from the Book of the Law of Moses. The Old Testament. If you violate them, it does not matter the reason why you are in violation of the law.
"Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness." 1 John 3:4
Herein lays one of the main reasons these are nearly all but forgotten Laws of God.
"For the law brings wrath, but where there is no law there is no transgression." Romans 4:15
If there is no evil, then there is no good. If there is no Hell, then there is no Heaven. No God? No devil. Etc. We need to always be mindful of evil. Of sin.
"Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin." Hebrews 3:12-13
Evil is real. It is supernatural and it can consume you. Anything against God is evil. Anything against His word is evil. To know to do good, and to do it not, is evil. Make no mistake about it. It is not just harmless fun.

That's it. It really is just that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A New Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

Coming Right Up, A Conversation with Peter

Next up here at TAG

Hey folks,  if you have been with us here at TAG, {The Truth According to God} for the past 28 weeks, congratulations, you just read through the entire book of Matthew.  That's right, we wrapped up Matthew last week.

Some people find it truly difficult, and some see it as nearly impossible, to read through the word of God. They struggle to stay on target and find themselves falling away and failing to complete what they start out wanting to do so badly. There are a few reasons for this.

1 - The Word of God is not natural. It is supernatural. It is alive. It is real and ever working in this world and in people's lives.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
We are natural and we crave the things of the flesh, which is opposite of and even opposed to, the things of God. Sometimes we pick up the Bible and try to read it with our carnal minds. This is a problem.
"For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God." Romans 8:5-8
When you pick up this book {Holding up the Bible} you should pray about it. Ask God to give you eyes to see, and a spirit to receive His word. Ask Him to give you the Holy Spirit to interpret and to understand what His word is telling you. The word declares that God is willing to give wisdom and understanding to those who ask Him.
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." James 1:5
2 - The Cares for this world.
Hear then the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” Matthew 13:18-23
Again, when you read God's word, you should pray to Him and ask for guidance and even time to do so. Set a routine. Get up an hour earlier. Go to bed an hour later. Skip that TV show. Miss that next newscast. Make it a priority to read God's word, His guidance for your understanding, and never forget that God's word is absolute and just. Therefore, if it says something that offends you, or goes against what the world says, it is true. The world is wrong. It IS just that simple.

3 - Offensive content

To elaborate a bit more on the last topic, you may become offended at something you read in the word. Abortion is murder. Psalm 139:13-18, Exodus 21:22-25, Homosexuality is sin, Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13, Ezekiel 16:48-51, {Think America} Romans 1: 18-32. Jesus IS the only way to Heaven? John 14:6, Matthew 7:21–27, John 6:63, He promised that those who believe in Him will have Eternal Life John 3:14–15. He is the gate of the sheep John 10:7; The Bread of Life John 6:35; and the Resurrection John 11:25.

It really is simple. It is in the Book. If The Bible tells you it is sin. It is a sin. It does not matter one iota what you may think about it. What Man says about it. What even the Courts say about it. It does not matter what world leaders, the news, or famous people say about it. If the world chooses to ignore the word of God, it doesn't change sin to good. Rather it heaps up the punishment that will eventually come. If you become offended at something you read, pray about it. Ask God why. Seriously look in the mirror. God is always right and just. His word is always right and just.

4 - Compassion for others.

Wait. What? Yup. Having a false sense of compassion for others can stop you from reading God's word. Why? See above. I believe in God. I even believe in Jesus. However, my mother believes in Buddha or my best friend is gay and believes in a loving God where all are welcome and encouraged to just be themselves. There is nothing wrong with that in my eyes. Or you may have something in your past or know someone that you know the Bible will talk against. Well, I just do not believe that this or that is really sinning. I'm just going to live my life and let God sort it out in the end. That is simply judging the Bible based on what others have told you.

In today's society, Jesus would have detractors on every side. Pretty much like He did then. Jesus does not measure compassion in a merely temporal, circumstantial way. His measure of compassion is eternal and transcendent. His goal, His mission, His compassion, is rooted in something deeper than a feeling. It is based on holiness and goodness. Absolute righteousness. Try reading it for yourself and ask God to put it in proper context and help you to understand. It will change your life.

Book of John

Back to what I was saying, if you have been here for the past 28 weeks, you read through the entire book of Matthew. Congrats. We will be diving into the book of John starting next week. We will see how John has a unique perspective and his way of teaching us who Jesus really is. Join us for the next 21 weeks and let's read the book of John together. One chapter a week. That's it. That's all. Not too tough if you choose you really want to do it. Remember, pray. Ask God to show you what He wants you to see as we go through John together. You will have a better understanding of who Jesus really is by the end. Trust me on that one.

Until next time. Be blessed, be a blessing, and Jesus IS Lord!

Supernatural Is Real, The Word of God

The Word of God is as Living Word.

What is this? {Holding up the Bible} Seriously. What is this? Is it an old Book, written by a bunch of old men, who wanted to control the masses? Is it is a great history book? Is there any difference with the Bible as in the Torah, Qur'an, Tripitaka, The Scientology Handbook, or even Books Atheist read, like "The impossibility of God" and "An anthology of Atheism and Rationalism?" You know, just another religious book. Should the Bible ever be taken literally? Also, what about all those contradictions?

People will tell you that if that is the "religion" you chose to follow, then great for you. Just let everyone else have their "Holy Book" and leave them alone. The Bible is no different, not better, nor worse than any other "religious book."

First, let's start with this simple fact. The Truth does offend those who chose not to accept it. Truth is, all religions ARE equal. However, there is only ONE way, one truth, one life. There is only ONE Salvation. His Name is Jesus.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." John 3:16-18
Jesus also plainly told us this.
"So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." John 10:7-11
There is no other Way.
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."John 14:6
Any "religion" or man-made tradition, that does not have Jesus as the foundation is a lie. Anyone telling you that you can get to heaven, in any other way than accepting Jesus's sacrifice for your sins, is lying to you. Without love, your religion is worthless. Jesus IS love. God IS love. Without Jesus, your religion is nothing.

Again, I understand that this may offend some people. Sorry. Like I said before, the truth can become offensive to those who chose not to accept is. Doesn't change the fact that it is the truth. We talked about religion before, so we will not spend too much time on that aspect here. However, I could form a religion today, and in 20, 50, or 100 years from now, we could have Carlockians, Peterites, Petetite, and others, that didn't like my book I wrote, so they broke off, formed their own religion, writing their own book.

Point is, religion, or man-made traditions, are nice little groups to belong too. But if they do not have Jesus, they mean nothing at all. Not mine, nor any of the ones that broke off from mine. Not any other. God does not care about religion. He cares about YOU. He wants a one on one relationship with YOU. You have to have faith in His plan. His way. His truth. His life.

This is why He gave us His word. It is our instruction for life.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Was the Bible written by men? Yup. All the things Jesus did, was done by a man. Jesus, although God, was a Man. He had to become a man, to deal with us in this physical realm. God gave man His word, to write down in the physical realm, so we could have it here, and learn from it. The words you are reading right now are not by men, but by the Holy Spirit, who led them to write them. It is He who speaks through it. Inspired words of God.

Another reason some become offended at the Bible is that it is the absolute truth. The truth cannot be refuted. The truth that is above us.
"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
It is alien to us. It goes against our sinful flesh. This is why so many see it as a list of "Don'ts." As restrictive. As confining and controlling. Instead of for what it is. A way to live our lives in love, safety, and security. An instruction manual for life itself. To keep us safe, and from those things, that in most cases we do to ourselves, that can hurt us.

This is why God tells us things like do not murder or steal. We will go to jail, be killed ourselves, or worse, never get to Heaven.

Do not commit Adultery. We will hurt those we claim to love the most, and again, we may even be killed.

Do not have any other Gods before God? Because everything else is a Lie. And it will not matter in the end.

Do not eat too much pork. We will get sick.

See,,
"A voice says, “Cry!” And I said, “What shall I cry?”All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever." Isaiah 40:6-8
Peter quotes this when he put it this way.
"Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God; for
“All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.”
And this word is the good news that was preached to you.." 1 Peter 1:23-25
Without the Word of God, there is no Salvation. What does the Word have to do with Jesus? Jesus IS the Word
"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ." 1 John 1:1-3
OK. So of course The Word of God was from the beginning. So?
"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.." John 1:14
Jesus is and was the Word of God, in the flesh, so He could operate in this physical realm. Without Jesus, there would be no word. Without Jesus, the world would not even be here. Without Jesus, there is no Salvation.

So when we look into His Word, we find life itself. The Word should be praised by the children of God. It should be taught to our children. Sung about. The book of Psalms is a collection of Hebrew poetry, or poems designed to be sung. The Hebrew title for the book is "Praises," and most of the Psalms deal with praise for God. Psalm 119 especially deals with praise for God's word, or the law of God, His written Will for His people. Like this part of 119, entitled, or numbered HE. HE the fifth letter in the Hebrew Alphabet

Psalm 119, HE
"Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart. Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things, and give me life in your ways. Confirm to your servant your promise, that you may be feared. Turn away the reproach that I dread, for your rules are good. Behold, I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life!"
What it is saying here is forget covetousness. Do not let me greedily desire anything other than God's Word. Do not waste time with useless things that mean little to nothing, but teach me to follow YOU God, and your word.

You see, every answer, to every question, can be found in God's Word. There are no contradictions. There are misinterpretations. Misunderstandings about what is read. Differing points of view from the writers. Also simply, lack of understanding of what we are reading. Through prayer and reading His Word, you will have a wealth of knowledge that most will never know. Most will never know they don't know. Let the world rejoice in its own knowledge. For we know the knowledge of the world is foolishness to God.

Learn from He who made the world. Use this manual for life, by the one that gave you life. The one who created all that is was, or ever will be. Who do you think knows better? The creature? Or the Creator? My bet is on God.

That's it. It really is just that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A New Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

Book of Matthew, Chapter 28

Chapter 28

Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy and ran to tell his disciples.  And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Greetings!” And they came up and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.  Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.

While they were going, behold, some of the guards went into the city and told the chief priests all that had taken place. And when they had assembled with the elders and taken counsel, they gave a sufficient sum of money to the soldiers and said, “Tell people, ‘His disciples came by night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”So they took the money and did as they were directed. And this story has been spread among the Jews to this day.

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Supernatural Is Real

God IS Supernatural

So is the theory of evolution.

I love the people that say to me things like, "How do you believe in God? How do you believe in all that supernatural stuff in the Bible? How do you not feel silly believing in this invisible God that created the world in six days and sent His Son to die, raising Him from the dead and then promising to raise everyone who believes in His Son from the dead and we will all live forever?" "The supernatural stuff is that of Hollywood magic and fairytale imagination. If you do not want to be seen as, well, ignorant, you may want to keep that to yourself."

This is what we are going to talk about the next few times we get together.

God and the theory of evolution are both supernatural in their very nature.
The Word of God is supernatural.
Evil, hell, and the devil are supernatural and real.
Jesus is supernatural.
You are supernatural.

I have news for you. The supernatural stuff? Yeah, it is real. You have to believe in the supernatural in one form or another, just for the simple fact that there are only two possibilities as to why we are here. God, or evolution. Either one takes a super strong belief in the supernatural. Don't believe me?

I believe,
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1
I believe that there was nothing but God. God created all things. As a painter paints a masterpiece, God created all things from the plants to the tress, from the birds and the fish in the seas. He created the sun the moon and the starts, He created everything near and far. Everywhere you look, you can clearly see. God even created you and me.

When I look at a painting, for the most part? Yeah, I couldn't tell you who the artist was. But I can tell you, without a doubt, there WAS an artist. Why? There is a painting. Was it Andy Warhol? Pablo Picasso? Vincent van Gogh? Leonardo da Vinci? Or was it maybe Michelangelo or Henri Matisse? Chances are, I may not be able to tell you. But we can both clearly agree, there was an artist. Just due to the fact the painting hangs before us.

Look around. Look at the night sky. Watch the Sunrise. Listen to the birds' songs. Smell the flowers. Look at the person sitting next to you or walking by. There is an artist that created this. Just the mere fact that we exist testifies or the fact there is a God.

Evolution? Just to exclude God, it then becomes a flawed, agenda-driven, man-made, junk science. But let's go with it for a second. There is no God. There is nothing. Now we know clearly and with true science, and even simple mathematics, that nothing from nothing is nothing and nothing added to nothing is nothing. Evolution minus God is impossible.

However, like I said we will go with it. So something came from nothing. Ok. Now, this first single-cell thing morphed into everything. Plants and trees, mosquitoes and men, hot-blooded and cold-blooded, all the eyes can see came out of that. We also know due to our studies of DNA that this is simply not possible either. It also does not explain the Sun, moons, and stars, and the vastness of space itself. But of course, believing in an intelligent artistic designer is completely preposterous.

It goes on to tell us the order that God created everything and it also lets us know how He did it. God said, BANG, it was so. The Word even tells us why. John 1:3
"All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made."
God made all things. He made them for Himself. He made us for Himself. Then He gave all this to us. Look at this in Genesis 1
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day."
I can hear some of you saying "Six days? Nonsense." Well, first He is God and we are not. His time is not our time. I do not know if it was six of our days, or six of His days, or if six days is to highlight a time period ending in everything resting in which case, we may be on the sixth day as we speak. Remember this.
"But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." 2 Peter 3:8
Or this.
"For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night." Psalm 90:4
God is outside of time. He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. He was there in the beginning, He will be there in the end. He is everywhere, and yes, He is watching.
"The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good."Proverbs 15:3
Also, read here.
"Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me." Psalm 139:7-10
Maybe it was six of our days. Maybe, it was six thousand years. Maybe it was a time period of which we are living in now. I do not know. But I do know this. There has to be a God because there is a creation. There has to be an artist because we are a work of art. God is real. He is supernatural. He is the one that created the natural. He, therefore, has to be outside of that of which He created. By His very nature, He is supernatural. So is His Word. More on that next time.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will heal you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray.

I believe that He raised from the Dead. I repent my Sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is just that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be.
