Mining for Wisdom. Knowledge vs Wisdom.

Is Knowledge enough?

Simply put, No. Knowledge is vastly different than Wisdom. Knowledge is knowing stuff. Wisdom is knowing how to apply it.

It breaks down like this. Knowledge is simply gathering and or obtaining Information from Studying Surroundings and or through Education of supplied Data that provides answers to many questions. Wisdom is knowing what to do with the Knowledge obtain in various ways.

Some examples? You obtain Knowledge through others, a Parent, a Sibling, or even through reading material, that an operating Stove is hot to the touch, and you could get seriously burned if you touch it with your bare skin.

Wisdom? Not touching it.

You obtain Knowledge through others, a Parent, a Sibling, or even through reading material, that playing in the midst of Traffic could become detrimental to your well being. That if a Vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed were to strike you, you could be seriously injured and or killed.

Wisdom? Do not play in Traffic.

Again, Knowledge is knowing stuff. Wisdom is knowing how to apply it.

The Word of God IS the ultimate Knowledge. Every answer, to every question, can be found here. {Holding up the Bible.} You can feed your Mind and Spirit full daily on all the Vast Wisdom of God. On all this Truth and Righteousness of our Creator. You can KNOW beyond knowing everything in this Book. Yet? If you do not have the Wisdom of how to apply it to your Life, it profits you nothing. It means nothing.

Ever hear someone say, or perhaps you thought this yourself of someone, perhaps a Pastor or such, "Oh they know the Bible. They can quote it. They must be a better person than I." Well? You know who else can quote the Bible Chapter and Verse? As a matter of Fact, he was there when it was written. He actually walked WITH Jesus. Side by Side. Face to Face. He was there at His Death. He witnessed His Resurrection. Yet, I would be pretty confident in saying I do not believe that he will see Heaven. His name? Lucifer. Satan. The Devil.

Proverbs 2:1-2
"My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding."
Remember in Proverbs 3:5-8, Solomon warns us that we should NEVER consider ourselves as Wise but always allow God to direct our steps and our Lives.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones."
If all you are doing, and I know this may sound harsh, but if all you are doing is learning what this says "Holding up the Bible" and attempting to simply follow it without Wisdom, you are in danger of being like the Religious Folks that Jesus was talking to when He said this in Matthew 15:8-9
"This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."
He was quoting Isaiah 29:13-14
"And the Lord said: “Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men, therefore, behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”
It is not enough to know that God says,

Have no other gods before God

Do not take God's Name in Vain

Do not commit Idolatry

Remember the Sabbath

Honor your Father and Mother

Do not Murder

Do not commit Adultery

Do not Steal

Do not Lie

Do not Covet.

Wisdom is actually doing and not doing said things. You know that Do not Murder is a Commandment from God. Yet? If you go out and Murder someone, what did it Profit you to have that Knowledge?

OK, I know, most will never go out and Murder someone. But how about this minor little thing? Ever been going on a trip, and you are on a highway, and the speed limit is 70? Yup. Some of you know where I'm going with this? All of a sudden, you see flashing lights behind you. Why? You had the knowledge that the speed limit is 70, yet you did not have the Wisdom to keep your speed under that.

What about this one? This is a biggy. John 3:16-18
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."
Or what about this one? John 10:9
"I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture."
Or of course this one? John 14:6
"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Now, if you did not know, now you have obtained the Knowledge that Jesus IS the only way to Heaven. He is the ONLY way to God. He is the ONLY way of and to Salvation. There is no other way. No Works can Save you. No "Religion" can Save you. No "Religion," including "Christianity" by the way, can Save you. Religion is not Salvation. Jesus and Jesus alone, IS.

Wisdom is NOT seeking Worldly Wisdom that says there are many ways to God. Wisdom is not learning about this Teacher or that Teacher, or washing Pots or Pans, or Eating Meat or not, or Dressing in this or that manner.

True Wisdom is knowing that Jesus is the Way. He and he alone is Salvation. That all you have to do is accept His Sacrifice for you. His Blood for your Blood. His death for your death. His Resurrection for your Eternal Life.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray.

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}

Until next time, be blessed, be a blessing, and Jesus is Lord!!
