Everything is in God’s Time. Not our expectations or even desires. We need to understand that even time itself belongs to God and He is aware of the best way, and time, to handle every situation. I understand that it is normal for us to expect immediate results no matter what the situation is. We also expect a certain type of answer and when we do not get it we may even become angry. However, this is NOT how God operates.
First, Time means nothing to God who is Eternal.
‘But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” {2 Peter 3-8}
Our lives here on Earth is not.
“yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes” {James 4:14}
Think about this. Even though we are not here for long, 75 years on average, we also are Eternal Beings. As Jesus was in His Flesh for a brief time, we will be as well. As Jesus raised from the Dead, we will too.This time we have here, is nothing, in comparison to Everafter.
All throughout the Word of God, we see Time is in God’s hands. Most predominantly, Noah in the Ark for a full year. The Jewish People in the Desert for 400 years. Yet we see things that could make us cringe if we are expecting immediate results. Just a couple of examples.
When Israel fought against the Tribe of Benjamin
“But six hundred men turned and fled to the wilderness unto the rock Rimmon, and abode in the rock Rimmon four months.” {Judges 20:47}
Job’s Life. One event lasted long enough for Job’s Friends to hear the news and then travel to him, then The Word declares:
“And they sat with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his suffering was very great.” {Job 2:13}
Ever have a Toothache? Nothing in comparison to what Job was going through, but imagine you had a Toothache for a couple of weeks. The whole time Job was trusting in God for everything. He never blamed God for anything. He was Blessed in the end, but he had to wait for it.
David hiding from Saul and becoming King in Saul’s Death about 12 years.
Jesus waiting for His Ministry to begin. 30 years. {Water to Wine?}
“Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.” {John 2:4}
Paul following his meeting with Jesus spent three years in Arabia before he met Peter and the other Saints.
God is a God of Love. God is Good. He does not like seeing us suffer. He does not like seeing His Children in Pain, Full of Sorrow, or in want for anything. He is in control. He sees the Big Picture. He knows the right answer and the right time. Just like having to wait for the right time for the Doctor to heal something in us, God is waiting for the right time. Sometimes it is the things we suffer through that can also be used for the good of someone else.
Think about this also. We are to be Part of God’s overall plan. We do not always know what that actually means. Some wait their entire lives for a God Appointed Occurrence. Our time will come as long as we are faithful enough to trust in God.
"Oh Heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"
That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}
Until next time, be Blessed, be a Blessing, and Jesus IS Lord!
