Hey Folks, we are discussing the Five Steps in a true "Christian" Life. Romans 8:29-30
"For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified."The Steps are as follows, Foreknowledge of YOU, Predestination or a Plan and Purpose for YOUR Life. {You are not here by accident.} Calling {God calls you. We already discussed, Foreknowledge, Predestination, Calling, and Justification. We wrap things up today with the last and most incredible step, Glorification.. God will Glorify YOU..
Now all through the Bible, we are taught how to Glorify God in all we do. That we need to do this. However, in the end, it will be God who Glorifies US. Remember, all life starts the same. God knows who you are. You are Created the way God wishes you to be. He sets up a Plan and Purpose for your life. He calls you to accept Him. If you say no, you are on your own. You live your life and die. If you say yes, He equips you with the tools you need to do the Job. He grants you a time of Preparation, and Justifies His Calling on your Life. Then it is up to us to stay firm and continue to grow in Faith.
You see, we have been adopted into the Family of God. Romans 8:15-17
"For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him."WE are no longer part of this World. As the saying goes, we are now, as Children of God, in the World, but no longer part of the World. We are Prince and Princesses of Heaven. We are now Strangers in a Strange Land. Jesus told us this...
“If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” (John 15:19)A little later in His Prayer, Jesus said this...
“I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”(John 17:14)So as John tells us, we are now Children of God, and we are to remember this...
"Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure. Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness." {1 John 3:2-4}This is why it is so important, that we stay in God's Presence? This is where we need to be. With our Father. We need to Pray continually. Read the Word continually. Spend time with other Children of God continually. We need to always be alert and always be prepared. God called us into His Family. He wants to be our Father. Our Daddy. 24-7. We need to be His Children, 24-7. The Word declares,,,
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified." {1 Corinthians 9:24-27}You are no longer of the World. The World hates you now. Sorry. Jesus told us that it would. It hated Him first. The World may even come after you. Sorry. It Crucified Him. However, just as He rose from the Dead, so shall we. When the time comes....
"Who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." {Philippians 3:21 }Even though the World itself will pass away, we have something more glorious to look forward to. According to Revelations....
"Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”" {Revelation 21:1-22:21}That Person that hated you? That Person that spitefully used and abused you? That Job? That company? That????? Gone. They are no more. Do you care if an Ant looks at you cross-eyed? Of course not. Why? They are an Ant. They are here for a bit, and then they are gone. They mean nothing. They can run on you. They may even bite you. But you know what? With a single step, they are crushed and completely destroyed. This is how we should see those that are not of God. They are nothing more than Ants, standing in the Shadow of God's Foot, as it is preparing to come down. What are they to you?
Remember Child of God, God Created you. He Created a Plan and Purpose for you and your Life. He Called you to accept it. He did, or will, depending on where you are in your journey, Justify you and prepare you for what He wants you to do. There is coming the time that as all things as we know them are crushed and completely destroyed, at the same time, YOU? You are being Glorified by God Himself. God Himself "will wipe away every tear from" YOUR eye. Are you His Child? Have you accepted His Call? Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..
"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"
That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}
