Let Him Lead

 The best Teacher you will ever have..

We have been talking a lot about Oblations vs Opportunity. That instead of seeing going to Church, reading The Word, Praying, Tithes and Giving, or any other Spiritual things as obligations, we should be seeing them as opportunities. Not some things that we must do, but rather, things that will put us in a place of the full blessings of God.

We talked about one of the main reasons for this is that we are walking in the flesh, yet, we are trying to do Spiritual things. This is not possible. For the Flesh and the Spirit are total opposite and opposed to one another. Remember what Paul warned us about in Romans 8:8 "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God."

We talked about how when Jesus looked into Matthew, Peter, Saul, or anyone else's eyes, He says "Follow Me." They did not just sit there, or remain living the way they did prior to that. They actually DID something. They got up, out of the Boat, or whatever, and actually followed Him.

So what happens when you are going somewhere, for the first time? What happens if someone tells you, "Hey, I want to bring you here, and show you, this."? You do not know where to go, nor what it is they are going to show you, so you say, "Okay. Lead the way, I will follow."

You do not know where to go. You do not know the things God has for you. Remember, God said this..

{Jeremiah 29:11-13}
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."
Remember Jesus told us this..

{Mark 12:30}
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
That if we do this, and if we put God first in our lives, He will Bless us with all things. Jesus told us not to worry about everything, including and most importantly, those things we cannot change..

{Matthew 6:33}
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
So you have done all the right steps. You believe. You believe "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."{John 3:16}You have accepted Him into your life. You have repented your Sins and been Baptized. You have Faith that "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." {Acts 2:38}

Yet, you seem to not be able to make it "work" for you. You do not understand, why you are not getting much out of this whole "religion thing." You do not feel blessed. You do not feel at peace. You do not feel that God is with you. Why?

First, are you sure? Have you indeed repented your Sins? Have you got up and followed Jesus? Second, are you filling yourself with His Word? Are you taking the time to read, Pray, Go to Church? Third, who is it that you are allowing to guide you through this mystical magical journey called Life? Going it alone? Allowing Man to lead you? Or are you allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you?

Jesus told us,,

{John 14:15-20}
"If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you."
Jesus told us that even though He is no longer here in the flesh, for He had to lay down His flesh, in order to pay the price for you, that He still expects those that God chooses and calls out of the world, to Follow Him. He understands that you cannot follow what you can no longer see, so The Holy Spirit will come and guide you. He also told us who the Holy Spirit IS. He said,,

{John 14:23}
"If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."
Notice the Wording here. "I will come to you." "and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." "I" "We?" "Our?" The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is talking here about keeping "my" Words, the "Father" will love him who does so, and the Holy Spirit, the "Comforter," "We," we will make our "abode" with him. Jesus said HE God and The Holy Spirit will make YOU {He who keeps Jesus's, God's Word} a place of residence; a house or home.

He tells us this.

{John 14:26}
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
That the Holy Spirit, who is whom?? Yup, that the Holy Spirit will....

{John 16:13}
"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."
God Speaks to us through His Word. Try it. When you read His Word, it comes alive and it shows you things you never knew. Teaches you things you never knew. Can also guide you through life. But God is NOT limited in just a book. The Bible is not a History Book. God is not History. He is very much alive here and now, and if you have accepted Jesus as Lord of your life, if He said to you "Follow Me" and you have gotten up and followed Him, then it is HE in you. yes HE. The great I Am. God Himself. Jesus. The Holy Spirit. They or HE is in you.

King Solomon tells us this

{Proverbs 3:5-6}
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
How much more now, do you think this applies. He is INSIDE you. Do you think He cannot direct your paths? This is why Jesus tells us to have no fear. This is why John told us..

{1 John 4:4}
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
He, the Holy Spirit. He, Jesus Himself. He, God Himself. He is in you. He is willing to, and ready to lead you. He, Jesus, said to you, the same He said to Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him, "Follow Me." The same Jesus that looked into Saul's eyes and changed him into Paul, is looking into yours. He is saying the same thing. "Follow Me"

The question is not, is He willing to lead you. The quest is, are you willing to follow. You want to follow Jesus? You want to be in a place where He is? Where the hand of God is moving? Where the true Blessings of God are? Then simply, let Him lead.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}

Until next time, be Blessed, be a Blessing, and Jesus IS Lord..
