Do not Pray For The World

I understand the compassion. But it is false.

I understand the good intentions. I did it myself for years. We read Scriptures that tells us that God wants all to be saved. We read Scriptures that tell us God loved us so Jesus came and died for us all. That He made the way simple for all to find it. It is merely a matter of acceptance or rejection on our part. Not His.

We read about Jesus telling us to go out into all the World and Preach the Gospel. We read about loving our enemies and loving those that hate us. Doing good to those that use us, and those, that abuse us. Turn the other cheek. All that kind of stuff. So would it not make sense to Pray for the World? To Pray that the World will Convert, and accept Christ, and be Saved. I mean, after all, Jesus Himself while they were mocking, beating, and killing Him, Prayed

"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."{Luke 23:34}

Perhaps, if the World would Convert, then Jesus would not need to come back. Perhaps, God could simply continue things as is. All could be Saved, and Paradise could be here on Earth. Sounds great. Does it not? Like that famous Beatles song Imagine...

"Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace..."

Compassion. Love. Hope. Charity. Loving Kindness. The desire to return to a time when God Himself would come and walk amongst us. However, there is one HUGE problem with that. It is not possible. It is never going to happen. It is not real. As a matter of fact, the World's Fate is sealed.

"Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before." {Matthew 24:4-25}

"Take heed that no man deceive you." "See that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass," "Behold, I have told you before." Jesus is telling us that the World's Fate is sealed. These things MUST come to pass. These things WILL happen. Jesus also told us..

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." {John 16:33}

It will happen. The end will come.

"Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away."{Mark 13:31}

This is why The Word tells us...

"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." {1 John 2:15}

This is why we are told..

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."{Romans 12:2}

The World's Fate is Sealed. It is going to pass away. Remember,,

"You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." {James 4:4}

Truth is, God, Jesus, The Word, never, tells us to go out and change the World. We are not told to change anything. We are told to teach the Gospel. We are told to tell the Truth. We are obligated to tell people the Truth. We are not responsible for their decision to accept it or not. We are not responsible for changing the World. Remember what Jesus told Peter, when Peter cut off Malchus's Ear?

"Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?" {Matthew 26:53-54}

Ever think about this in this way? Jesus could have stopped all this at any time. He chose not to. He allowed the Mocking, Abuse, and He allowed them, to nail Him to the Cross. Why? "Thus it must be." This is why Jesus told them NO ONE takes His Life..

"No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."{John 10:18}

He could have waved His hand at anytime and wiped them all out. But He didn't. Because it must be. The World is going to end. Why? It must be. The Fate is Sealed. The Scriptures will be fulfilled. He told us all these things before they happen. He does not want you to change the World. He wants you to tell people the Truth and allow them, give them an opportunity to accept it or not. To Live or not. The choice is thier's to make.

In one of His Prayers, Jesus said this.

"I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine." {John 17:9}

Jesus even told us this..

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household." {Matthew 10:34-36}

Jesus Himself did not come to the Earth to Save all, but to give the Elect an opportunity to be Saved. Remember, God gave us this World Perfect. We gave the World to the Devil. It has been Evil ever since. Man's heart has been Evil ever since. The World cannot , nor will it, ever, be Saved. Compassion. Love. Hope. Charity. Loving Kindness. These are the Fruit of the Spirit. These are the rewards of those Adopted out of the World and into the Family of God. These are the evidence of those that are Saved. They are so precious because the are opposite of the World.

I have stopped Praying for the World. I now simply Pray for the Lost to be Saved, for the Kingdom's Sake. For the Praise and Glory of God. I share the Truth in this Hope. The Hope that the Individual will accept it and be Saved. Again, the World's Fate is Sealed. This is WHY it is so important that people hear the Truth, and be given an opportunity to accept it or not. The choice is their's.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}
