America Today Part Two

The Sin of justifying Sin.

America Today. In America, we have decided to not only accept sin, we have decided to justify it. There are two very specific Sins that I want to talk about today. They are clear cut, crystal clear, Sins. They are both against God and against nature itself. Yet, as a nation, we have decided to justify them, and make them the normal.

Of course, some will become offended by the message today. I get that. I also want to start off by reiterating a couple of things here. First, I do not now, nor have I ever, advocate, condone, or believe in, violence toward any one or group, for any reason save, they are attempting to murder you. Then you have a right to defend yourself. Other than that, only God knows what is in the individual heart of man. Only God can save. It is not for me to condemn or justify an individual. That is between you and God.

Second, the Truth is the Truth, regardless of your acceptance of it or not. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. If you find yourself offended by the Word of God, it is YOU that you need to reexamine. Not God.

As a Nation, not only have we accepted these two Sins as normal, we have justified them. Even going as so far as to create Laws to PROTECT them. We have established them. We have embraced them. Now, if someone like me, points out that these are indeed, clear cases of Sin that God Himself warned us to stay away from, WE are called the ones with the problem. There is a move to actually make it illegal to even speak out against these things. However, none of this changes the fact that they are what they are. Sin.

The two I want to discuss today are these. Murder, and Homosexuality. Lets start with the obvious.

Thou Shalt Not Commit Murder.

Abortion.

Yes, Abortion is the Murder of the most innocent life. Period. We could leave it at that. But because we have legalized the slaughter of children, we need to discuss it more in depth. Even though nothing else really needs to be said. Now we discussed this when we discussed the Ten Commandments. It IS Commandment number Six.

Genesis 9:
5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
God is pretty sure about it. Murder is bad. He set up a trial by Jury system. He established the Death Penalty . He is pretty serious about Murder. We talked about how God tells us He made us in his image.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Now in the original language, us actually means 3 or more. God the Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. We are make in this image. Our Mind, the thing that makes us, us. Our intelligence, will, emotions, desires, reasoning, ETC. fashioned after God the Father. Our flesh, after Jesus, the flesh of God. Then our Soul. What lives on when the flesh dies, after the Holy Spirit. Three, yet one.

God knows who you are before your Mommy and Daddy know you are about to be. Remember that five steps of life are these. God foreknows you, sets up a destiny, a plan and purpose for you, calls you to accept it, justifies you, and then glorifies you.

In...

Psalm 139:
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Every wonder why you are the way you are? God said, it was so. Look at my boys. Joshua and Elijah. Josh is 7, Eli is now 19 months. Both have the blondest of blonde hair, and the bluest of blue eyes. Now look at me. I have a little of every color in my hair. I have my Grandmothers hair. Brown, blonde, red, now some grey, being as long as it is, I have to put junk in it to keep it in place, but it is not bleach blonde like them. I also have brown eyes. Look at my Wife. She is blonde, but what you would probably call dirty blonde. She doesn't have blue eyes either. So why do my boys look the way they do? That's the way God wrote them in His book.

Josh is very Empathic. He seems to have this sense on how people are feeling. He is extremely concerned with how others are feeling. Even if he doesn't know them. He seems to be able to tell if they are happy, sad, hurt, in pain, in love, whatever. He wants to help. He wants to make it right. He hugs EVERYONE.

Eli? Even though he is only 19 months, he shows logical tendencies and problem solving skills. If you give him a bowl with some cereal in it, he will get up, go to the silverware draw, and get out a spoon. If he spills something on the floor, he will go get the broom and attempt to clean it up. If he decides he wants, or wants to do something, he absolutely will not stop until he gets, or does it.

What will this mean in later years? I have no idea. But I know they are the way they are, because God made them this way. God has a plan and a purpose for both their lives. When they get to a certain age, God will call them to accept it. It will be their choice to do so or not. Will I agree with whatever they chose? Whatever way they go? Maybe. Maybe not. But just like YOU, I have no choice but to allow them or you, to do as you will. We all eventually sit in the Captain's Chair, point our Ship to the direction we chose, and pilot it through this fantastic journey called life.

This is why it is so important to God, that we do not "strive to hurt a woman with child."

Exodus 21:
22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,

24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Imagine, that 19 month old. He waddles around. Gets into everything. Explore and learns. He turns 7 years old. He plays, learns, likes and dislikes certain things. Dreams of the future. Want he wants to be when he grows up. Then a teenager, young adult. Everything brings him the standing at a podium, before the world, taking the pledge, to serve as the next President of the United States. His name? Barack Obama. His name, George W. Bush. His name, Bill Clinton. Or everything leads him to being the only other person in the history of the planet, to walk on water. His name? Peter. He becomes Pope. He becomes the Doctor that cures sickness and disease. His name? Martin Luther King Jr. Another becomes an Astronaut. Another Hitler. What? Wait? What?

If Hitler was never born, 6 million Jews would have never lost their lives. We would have never entered another world war. How is Hitler being born a good thing? Imagine what the world would look like today if none of that happened. You can't. We are the way we are, we accomplished the things we did, invented the things we did, because of the things that happened. Everything happens for a reason. There are no accidents or coincidence. If we eliminated one thing in our past, you have no idea how much of an effect it would have on our present.

Imagine, that 19 month old. She waddles around. Gets into everything. Explore and learns. She turns 7 years old. She plays, learns, likes and dislikes certain things. Dreams of the future. Want she wants to be when she grows up. Then a teenager, young adult. Everything brings her to becoming one of the most helpful people in history. Her name. Mother Theresa. Her name? Rosa Louise McCauley Parks. Her name Mary. The "Mother of God." Her name, YOUR Mother.

Back on January 22, 1973, Harry Blackmun, William J. Brennan, Chief Justice Warren Burger, William O. Douglas, Thurgood Marshall, Lewis Powell and Potter Stewart. These seven men decided that a woman could legally slaughter the most innocent of life in her womb. William Rehnquist and Byron White voted against it. Hence it became the law of the land. It is now a woman's "Right" to murder her innocent child.

Doesn't make it right. Doesn't make it OK with God. It makes it legal. Not right. Not just. It doesn't change it from what it is. Sin and against the very Commandments of God. It is also against nature itself. Whatever does not reproduce, dies. Four people on an island, they do not reproduce, when they die, no more people on the island.

Homosexuality

This is one of those "hot button" issues. Or one of those "sensitive topics." It is something that many of our churches have stopped teaching about. Why? Because they are affraid of offending someone. We live in a society, that has decided that speaking out against Homosexuality is outdated, or even mean. They came up with a term, your Homophobic, if you do not accept it. You are the one with the problem. There is a move right now to BAN anyone from speaking the TRUTH. It IS against both God and Nature. Not my opinion, God said so.

In...

Leviticus 18:
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
God compares Homosexuality with Bestiality. Not me saying it. Not a church leader. Not an opinion. Not attempting to be offensive. GOD compares it equal to. Not man. In...

Leviticus 20:
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Is God serious about it? Yup. Again, I do not advocate, condone, nor or believe in, violence toward any one or group, for any reason save, they are attempting to murder you. Then you have a right to defend yourself. Other than that, only God knows what is in the individual heart of man. Only God can save. It is not for me to condemn or justify an individual. That is between you and God. But if you want to know God's view on Homosexuality. There you go.

In America today, we have decided that what God thinks about this is no longer important. That we must not only accept those who claim to be Gay, but that we justify them, and see them as equal to God's plan of Marriage. One man, one woman, for life. Think about this as you read this. In...

Romans 1:
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
It is pretty clear, is it not? God sees Homosexuality as Sin, both against Him, and again, against nature. Again, whatever does not reproduce dies. Lets go back to that island. Four people on that island. They decide that the men should be with the men, and the women with the women. They can love each other. They can care for each other. They can have long and happy lives together. Fact remains though, if they do not reproduce, when they die, no more people on the island.

I have a few Gay friends. I do not hate them because they are Gay. I know this couple, one is an Artist, one a Lawyer. They have been together for over 20 years. I have been to their house for dinner. They are very nice people. I do not hate them because they are Gay. I love them because of who they are.

One of the best friends, next to my wife, I have ever had in my life, is a Lesbian. She is not only a Lesbian, she is a boot laced, Liberal, Gay "Rights" activist, Female. We are completely opposite in our views on, well, everything. Yet, we are mirror imagines of each other. I would lay down my life in a heartbeat for her, and I know she would do the same for me. No doubt about it.

I do not hate anyone. I learned a long time ago, to extend my hand in friendship to everyone I meet. It's up to them if they take it, or reject it. In time, I get to know that person. They get to know me. The content of our characters come out in time. If I find they are a bad person, not because of what they are, but who, I move on. If they find they do not like me, because of who I am, they move on. But it has nothing to do with Race, Religion, Sex, or Sexual Orientation. It has to do with the character of the person.

The problem is, Sin is sin. Just because I accept a friendship with someone, does not mean I condone, nor do I justify their Sin. Their's is their's. Mine are mine. Remember the story of the Adulterous Women?

John 8:
3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Here is a woman caught in the very act of adultery. They wanted to kill her. She broke the Law. She violated one of the Ten Commandments. This was serious. What did Jesus say? "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." When all left, He said to her "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more." You see, it is God the knows the heart of the individual. Forgiveness of Sin comes from God. Judgement of Sin and the Heart of Man does as well. It is my job to love the Sinner. Not condemn them.

However, there is a distinct difference in loving the Sinner, and justifying the Sin. That is what we are doing in America today. In....

Leviticus 18:
18 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God.

3 After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.

4 Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.

5 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the Lord.
As a Nation that was founded in the Judeo / Christian belief system, and the Gospel of Christ, we should be following God. We should be seeing His Word as the guide to life. We should not be following other nations or rejecting God for man. Continuing....

25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:

27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.

29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

30 Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the Lord your God.
Then God explains the Sin of America Today. Not so much we have those that commit such Sins as Murder and Homosexuality, but rather we have justified the Sin itself. In...

Ezekiel 16:
47 Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways.

48 As I live, saith the Lord God, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

51 Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.

52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
God says, Sin is Sin. The individual can be forgive for Sins. But when a Nation justifies the Sin, it is committing a Sin that is even more abominable than the Sin itself. This is because those that Sin, do so of their own free will, or through ignorance. However, when you justify the Sin, you are saying it's no longer Sin. It's OK. You are rejecting God over Man. The Creature over the Creator. That God does not accept.

I know. We think we are so wise. So "evolved." Remember what God says about the Wisdom of the World? Nothing but foolishness.

Wisdom

1 Corinthians 3:
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.

19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;

23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
Also in...

1 Corinthians 1:
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
As a Nation that declares, "In God We Trust," and "One Nation Under God," we need to restore God in His rightful place. We need to be wise according to God, not man. Worship the Creator, instead of the creature. As a child of God, you have a responsibility to teach your children the importance of putting God first and giving God the credit He deserves. It has been many things in many generations that have chipped away at the morality in this country. We can not change it over night. But if we start repenting our Sins and start raising generations that understand the Truth, we have a good chance to set things right. Or at least, in the right direction.

You want America to start to heal? Then we need leaders that understand the Truth. We need Children of God, teaching the Truth and the Way. We need to get back to Morals and Righteousness, regardless of whom may become offended. We need God in America again.

Faith, Family, Freedom. That is what this country was founded on. Look what is under constant attack in America today. Faith, Family, and Freedom. Remember, with man, it is impossible, but not with God. With God, all things are possible.

Until next time. Be blessed, and Jesus IS Lord!
Peter
