Psalm 19

Psalm 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Don't Change The World

It's not your Job.

God did not tell Noah, "I'm sad I made you Humans. I want you to go out and change the World." No, He told Noah to build a Boat to carry Noah and His Family out from the World. God did not tell Moses "Moses, I am not happy with the way Pharaoh is treating my People. Go out and Change the World." No, He told Moses, "Bring my People out." As a matter of fact, Jesus, when Praying said this..
"I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine." {John 17:9}
Wait, Jesus said "I do not Pray for the World?" Wait. What is the Point then? I thought He came to Save the World. Actually, No. He came to Save YOU. Not the World. A little later He goes on to say this..
"I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." {John 17:15-17}
Again, Jesus is NOT telling God, we must Save the World. He is not telling YOU to go out and Change the World. Remember what He told the Twelve when He sent THEM out?
"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city." {Mark 6:11}
He did not say, Go out and Change the World. He said Go out and Preach the Gospel, and Baptize them. And whosoever does not receive them, or the Truth, then bad things are coming for them. They are going to Condemn themselves by their own choices.

To reject them is to reject Jesus.to reject Jesus, is to reject the ONLY Way, Truth, and Life. To reject the Way, Truth, and Life, is to Reject God and His plan and Purpose. In doing so, they then Condemn themselves to live as the World lives and die as the World will die.

Remember, all the times Jesus told us about the End Times and what was to come, He always said, Fear Not. For these things MUST come. Or these things WILL come. He never told us to attempt to stop them..

What about you. As an Individual?
"Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches. Was a man already circumcised when he was called? He should not become uncircumcised. Was a man uncircumcised when he was called? He should not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God's commands is what counts. Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them."
Seriously? But you do not know how bad I have it... Keep reading...
"Were you a slave when you were called? Don't let it trouble you although if you can gain your freedom, do so. For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord's freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ's slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them." {1 Corinthians 7:17-24}
Why? God called you for a reason. I have shared this story before. But way back when I first got Saved, a friend of mine came to me and said... "I have some questions about this whole God Stuff." Something like that, and then he said "James told me to come see you." Now, James and Dwight, where the two Men that got me on my Spiritual Quest to begin with. James has gone to Church FAR more than me and knows FAR more about the Word than I did. Why is he sending him to me?

Now I went with it, and he came too my house. We talked the Ten Commandments. We talked Jesus. It was then I learned that to the lost, the simple things of God are no so simple. so time went by and my friend told me that he gave his Life to God on the top of a Mountain at like 4 or 5 am or something like that.. He ran like 10 miles a day. You see, He was a Professional Boxer.

Think about this. I would never have "Found God" if God removed Dwight or James out of where they were. I would not have been there, for my friend to come and "Find God" if God removed ME from where I was before this meeting took place. Then think about this.. I KNOW Pro-wrestling. I knew and still know a lot of the Superstars in the Business today. But I am NOT a big Sports Guy. I just never have been. I am NOT a Boxing Fan. I will go see my friend fight, but I am not going to be able to tell you all the Boxers and their Histories Wins, Loses, Etc. I will NEVER Meet most if any Boxers. I could not even tell you who the Champ is right now.

But you know what? My Professional Boxer Friend, CAN. He sees them all day every day. He is in that world. Now I can and do Share the Gospel wherever I am. Whenever God tells me to. But those in the Boxing World, will never hear my name, never meet me. will have no knowledge of me. Yet, follow this.. Dwight and James were where they were, went through the things they went through, to share with me. I was where I was to hear it. My Boxer friend was where he was to hear the Truth according to God, through ME, because I was there. Then all HIS friends heard the Truth because he was also there and they were there. Are you following???

I know I know. It seems compassionate to say, "We need God in the World again." I get it. I use to say this sort of thing all the time. We need God in America again. But the truth is, the World is what it is. What is going to happen, IS going to happen. What God is concerned with is NOT your Status nor the Worlds Status, but a one on one relationship with YOU. What He is concerned with about you, is that you, through one on one relationships, share the Gospel and lead others to the Truth. Let the World be the World, YOU be the Child of God, God wants you to be.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}

Until next time, be Blessed, be a Blessing, and Jesus IS Lord..

Psalm 18

Psalm 18

1 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.

2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

11 He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

12 At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

13 The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.

15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.

19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

20 The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

21 For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

22 For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.

23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.

24 Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;

26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.

27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.

28 For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

31 For who is God save the Lord? or who is a rock save our God?

32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.

34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.

36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.

37 I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.

38 I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.

39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

40 Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.

41 They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the Lord, but he answered them not.

42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.

43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.

44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.

45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.

46 The Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

47 It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.

48 He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

49 Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

Thanksgiving

Thank God Daily..

As we are coming up on Thanksgiving, you know, that one day a year that we have set aside to remember to give God thanks. Oh we will all, me included, say Grace at the big Dinner with Family and Friends and when people ask me what am I thankful for, I will answer this....

My life, for without Him, I would not even be here in the first place.

My Wife. Without Him, I would not have been so blessed with a woman that supports me in any and every way. One that loves me no matter what. One that serves with me. One that I truly love..

My three beautiful Children. Joshua my first born Son. Elijah, the Second, and of course, my Baby Girl the Princess, Maya.

My Home, when so many have lost theirs.

My Job, same reason. Although I am currently talking to God about this one.. {Smile}

Car in the Drive.

Food on the Table.

Pretty much anything and everything..

The Word of God declares...
"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." {1 Thessalonians 5:18}
However, I do have a question for you.. If you are like me, and are TRULY Thankful to God for, well, EVERYTHING, then why do you only give Him thanks once a year?? Also, is giving Him Thanks in the method of speaking, merely saying it, enough, for all He has done for you?

The Word also declares this..
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." {Philippians 4:6}
What does this mean? It means you are a Child of God. He is your Father, yet rather, He is your Daddy. He is your Daddy 24-7 7 Days a Week, 52 Weeks a Year, from the time you were Adapted til the Day you leave this Earth to go to be with Him. Not a Day a Week, if you feel like going to Church, and MOST DEFINITELY NOT one day a year.

See, God wants a one on one relationship with you. Oh yes, of course He wants to be invited to Thanksgiving Day Dinner, but He wants a one on one, DAILY, relationship with YOU. He want to be there when you get up. He wants to be there when you lay down. He wants to be there in everything in-between. The Good Times. The Bad Times. He want s to meet your needs, Comfort you, Laugh with you. He wants you to BE His Child.

But here is the thing, He wants you to be in His Way..Fulfilling His Plan and Purpose for your Life.
"And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful." {Colossians 3:15}
See we should be those people that other people look at and go, "Wait, what?" Seriously, we should be those people that we have all known or have known of. Always seemingly happy, no matter what is going on. Always ready to serve others. Always with a kind Word and a warm embrace. Open and Honest. Loving.

We need to also always be ready to explain WHY we are the way we are..
"Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!" {1 Chronicles 16:8}
Peter put it this way..
"But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect," {1 Peter 3:15}
Am I saying that we should not celebrate Thanksgiving. Of course not. I will be. I do it right every year. Get as stuffed as the Turkey and pass out in my Chair attempting to watch something on TV.

What I AM saying is, don't forget to Give thanks to God the other 364. He is not only God then, but He is God always..HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you all!!!

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

Psalm 17

Psalm 17

1 Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.

2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.

3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.

4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.

5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.

6 I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

7 Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,

9 From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.

10 They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.

11 They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;

12 Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.

13 Arise, O Lord, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:

14 From men which are thy hand, O Lord, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

The Way

 Not the Religion

As we get into the Holiday Season, October 9th I was at a Big Box Store and they already had their "Holiday Section" up and running with "Holiday Trees" Lights, ETC. Let's set aside that it was October 9th for a second. "Holiday" this or that.

Here is the thing, it really is Christmas Time. I do not care if you are Jewish, or Muslim, or even Christian, it IS Christmas. It is a time to celebrate and rejoice in the fact that.......
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." {John 3:16}
We are remembering what the Angel said.....
"Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." {Luke 2:10-14}
So why does it offend some, or why out of FEAR of offending some one are we no longer allowed to call it Christmas? While you hear songs playing in the background with these very words, you are told that you cannot say Merry Christmas?

Let me ask you this, if enough people said it offends them to call it Chanukkah, should we change it to being a Architect Appreciation Celebration? Or if we say Ramadan offends us, shall we change it to be Celebration of Writers?

Point is, it is all Religions that consistently argue and in the name of Religion, are most people Offended and or go on the Offensive. Whenever someone like me stand up and says, ENOUGH! It IS called Christmas. It is called Ester. There is only ONE God and ONE way to get there, and His name is JESUS!!! People attack.

"What makes you so sure your Religion is the right one and all others are wrong?"

First?
"Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." {John 10:7-10}
And this...
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." {John 14:6}
Also this?
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." {Acts 4:12}
You see, being a "Christian" is not about following this or that Tradition. It is not about going to this or that Building on Saturday or Sunday, for an hour or two. It is not about Singing Hymns and shaking Hands. It is about a one on one relationship with God Himself, that you can only have through Jesus..
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." {Romans 5:1-2}
As Paul wrote in Romans 8 "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." If we are not walking in the Spirit, given to us by Jesus, we are in the Flesh. It does not matter how many Hail Marys you say. It does not matter how many times you go to Church, Temple, Synagogue, Hall, or anything else. As Jesus said, you can wash all the pots and pans you want, doesn't mean you are Saved.

Even back in the Old Testament, God was not pleased with "Religion" alone...
"A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?" {Jeremiah 5:30-31}
I've shared this a few times. But I really want you to think about this. What if I'm Wrong? Well, I try to live my life according to my Faith in Jesus, I try to follow what The Word of God tells me. I serve others before myself. I,,,,,,

Do not have any God before God.
Do not commit Idolatry.
Do not take the Lord's name in Vain.
Try to remember the Sabbath/
Honored my Father and Mother.
Do not Murder.
Do not commit Adultery.
Do not Steal.
Do not bear False Witness.
Try not to Covet

Then when I die, what? Nothing? I just fizzle out. Just go to sleep and nothing? OK. Then I'm no longer here. I have no idea that I'm even dead. I'm just nothing. So what did I lose living my life in Faith of God?

Now let's say I'm right. God is real. Jesus is real. God's Word IS His Word. and I live a selfish life. One where I am out for me and me alone. One that I use and abuse people for my own gain. Then I die and stand before God??? Actually, Jesus even warned us about this..
"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" {Mark 8:36}
I'm not sure about you, but I think I would rather believe in going to God through Jesus and come to nothing, than to believe in nothing and come to Jesus.

You see, we call it Christmas because that IS what it is. It does not matter if someone is offended or not. It is NOT about Religion. It is, right date or not, a time we set aside to remember and give thanks to God for His ultimate Gift. The Gift of Grace, Forgiveness, and Eternal Life..

Are you in "The Way" or are you following Religion? Are you living a one on one Relationship with God? Or are you waiting on someone else to tell you want to do.

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

If you want to tell me, or comment, question, give testimonials, or just say "Hi," the Email is opntalk@gmail.com

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}

Until next time, be Blessed, be a Blessing, and Jesus IS Lord..

Psalm 16

Psalm 16

1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

2 O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;

3 But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.

4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.

5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.

7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Spiritual Food

Are you starving yourself?

Taking Communion. As we take Communion, we do certain things, in the way Jesus taught us we should.. We break bread and eat as remembrance of His Body that He gave up to be broken for us all, and drink Wine, or Grape Juice, in remembrance of His Blood that He allowed to be shed for our Blood.
"And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me. In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you." {Luke 22:19-20}
Now wait a second. Is Jesus really advocating that we eat His flesh and drink His Blood? Is He advocating Cannibalism? No. Of course not. However, that is kinda what they thought back in the day..
"Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."
{John 6:31-35}
Needless to say this did not sit too well with some. He went on a little later..
"I am that bread of life.Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him."
{John 6:48-56}
So again, is Jesus talking about Cannibalism? Of course not. Besides, to get gross here for a second, lets say His Disciples DID take Him to mean Cannibalism. They took Him off the Cross and cooked Him. One body would only feed so many people. Then what of all the people since? How can WE, NOW, Eat of Jesus's Body and Drink of His Blood? His Body, if He were a mere Man, would be long since Dust. But He was not then, nor is The Word today, talking about Cannibalism.

Remember the story of the Well?
"Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
{John 4:6-14}
Remember, Jesus's first Temptation by the Devil was that of the Physical. He was Hungry and the Devil taunted Him and said why? Make the Rock Bread and eat. Jesus answered and said..
"It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." {Matthew 4:4}
What is Jesus's Flesh? What is His Blood? What should you be eating everyday? The Word of God. The Bible. John 1 declares that "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." Briefly, The Word was with God in the Beginning. Nothing was created without The Word. The Word became Flesh {Jesus} and dwelt with us, and then went to be Perfect, with the Father. We have Spiritual Food that we must eat. It is the Word of God..

Communion is for a remembrance, and in a way, a thanksgiving to Jesus for His Sacrifice. However, you need to feed your Spirit everyday. Just like our Bodies, if we fill our Spirit with Junk Food, it will not be as healthy as it would with a Healthy diet. Garbage in, garbage out. You must Read God's Word. You must Pray. You must go a Church that God leads you to and become an active Member. Not just a Pew Warmer. But an active Member.

As you grow, you will need Spiritual Food of more substance and Spiritual Benefit. Instead of Milk, you will be eating Steak and Potatoes. However, do not forget this fact, if you do not feed your Spirit, you will not, nor can ever, grow. Your Spirit will never grow, mature, and become healthy. Do not starve your Spirit. It would not be a good thing..

Have you been Born Again?

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. {2 Corinthians 13}

Until next time, be Blessed, be a Blessing, and Jesus IS Lord..

Psalm 15

Psalm 15

1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
