Psalm 5

1 Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation.

2 Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

7 But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

8 Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

9 For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

10 Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.

11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

12 For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Mediums

Yes. They are real.

Well, some of them anyway..Well, sorta. But that is not Grandma talking to you.. Mediums is a topic that has come up more and more in the last few Months, so I truly feel a need to talk about the topic.

Wait, we are talking about Mediums? Like, people who claim they can talk to the dead. People that claim Supernatural Powers? Seriously?

I love when people, ESPECIALLY Church Folks, complain to me about the "Supernatural," and the "fact" that there is no such thing. Uh, Water to Wine? Walking on Water? Calming the Storm? Healing the Sick? Raising the Dead? Rising from the Dead? You believe in Jesus, yet you say the Supernatural is not real?

No, you can rest assure that the Supernatural is VERY real and Mediums are very real. How do I know? the most obvious? God warns us against them. The ESV says this.

“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the LORD your God." {Leviticus 19:31}

The King James Version translation is this..

"Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God." {Leviticus 19:31}

Then in Deuteronomy 18:9-12 we read this..

"When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you."

Now first, and the most obvious, God is NOT going to waste time warning you against something that is not real. in other words, I have three kids. Would I ever tell them to stay away from the Giant Purple Bunny in the Back Yard? Uh, no. Why? There is no Giant Purple Bunny in the Back Yard. What would be the point of me warning them?

Now would I and DO I warn them about the Hot Stove when I'm cooking? Of course I do. Why? Because I know that if they DO touch the Stove, they may get burned and really hurt themselves. The Hot Stove is Real. The Giant Purple Bunny in the Back Yard is not. Get the Point?

Now as a side note? Let's say one of my kids DO touch the Hot Stove and DOES get burned. Did I burn them? Was their burning a punishment for their disobedience? Did I cause it to teach them a lesson? No. Simply consequences for actions. Hot Stove, Touch, Burn. They burned themselves. I tried, out of love, to warn them against it. But they have Free Will..

Mediums are the Hot Stove. The are real. Well, some of them anyway. Yes. There are scammers out there just trying to take your money. However, there are some real ones. However, here is the other problem, that's not Grandma.. That is not you long lost Mommy. Uncle Joe. Whomever. They are wherever they were going. They ain't coming back to talk to you.

Did you hear what happened in En Dor? No, no, no. Not the battle between Luke and Han and the Furry little Ewaks against the Empire's Storm Troopers. The REAL En Dor? I'm talking about when King Saul went to a Medium to raise Samuel from the Dead.

"So Saul disguised himself and put on other garments and went, he and two men with him. And they came to the woman by night. And he said, “Divine for me by a spirit and bring up for me whomever I shall name to you.” The woman said to him, “Surely you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the necromancers from the land. Why then are you laying a trap for my life to bring about my death?” But Saul swore to her by the Lord, “As the Lord lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing.” Then the woman said, “Whom shall I bring up for you?” He said, “Bring up Samuel for me.” When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul.” The king said to her, “Do not be afraid. What do you see?” And the woman said to Saul, “I see a god coming up out of the earth.” He said to her, “What is his appearance?” And she said, “An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped in a robe.” And Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground and paid homage.

Then Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul answered, “I am in great distress, for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams. Therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do.” And Samuel said, “Why then do you ask me, since the Lord has turned from you and become your enemy? The Lord has done to you as he spoke by me, for the Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor, David. Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord and did not carry out his fierce wrath against Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day. Moreover, the Lord will give Israel also with you into the hand of the Philistines, and tomorrow you and your sons shall be with me. The Lord will give the army of Israel also into the hand of the Philistines.”

Then Saul fell at once full length on the ground, filled with fear because of the words of Samuel. And there was no strength in him, for he had eaten nothing all day and all night. " {1 Samuel 28:14-20}

Now first, Saul knew Leviticus, and Deuteronomy. He knew that God warned us against going to Mediums. He even ran them all out of the Kingdom, and made it Illegal for them to Practice in the Kingdom. Yet he went anyway. Why? Because he perceived that God was no longer talking to him. He had become his Enemy. So first, think about this. It says God stopped communicating with Saul. So He, God, would not sent Samuel to speak with Saul. Second, Samuel said “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” All through out the Word we see people of God, and Jesus Himself, descend and ascend to and from Heaven. The do not "Come up." This was not Samuel, but rather a Demon impersonating him.

He knew exactly what to say to Saul to hurt Saul the most. He hurt Saul so, that Saul collapsed and laid on the floor. Simply put, the Demon simply reminded Saul that he was no longer of God, and he was going to join HIM "tomorrow you and your sons shall be with me." Where was Samuel? With God. If Saul and his Sons were to be with Samuel tomorrow, then they would be with God. But this is not the case. I believe this is where Saul realized who he was talking to.

Please do not misunderstand. The Devil, Demons, they CAN tell the Truth. Do not be fooled by Hollywood or TV. If the Truth is what will hurt someone the most, that is what they will use. The Demon told Samuel the Truth. The next day, they all died on Mount Gilboa. Saul was killed by the Archers of the Philistines.

This is another example of the fact that when you remove God, something else ALWAYS takes His place. Saul was desperate and was reaching out for ANY hope at all. Since God would not answer him, he went to see a Medium.

Oh, and think about this, she, the Medium, was most likely a fraud. How do we know? She was shocked and amazed what she saw. She did not seem to be actually expecting something to actually happen. That and she did not know it was Saul until the Demon told her.

Was the outcome positive? Of course not. If God was with him, Saul would not have been killed and he would have continued on for some time. But he disobeyed God, and then, out of desperation, he turned to Dark Magic and the things God has warned us against.

Are Mediums, Wizards, Witches, the Dark Magic, the "Arts" real? Yup. They are not fun. It is not just for laughs. They are real. If not, God would have never told us this story, and He would never waste His or our time warning us about it. Do the wise thing, listen to God..

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

Psalm 4

1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.

2 O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

3 But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him.

4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord.

6 There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.

8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

Faith or Works?

Contradiction?? 

So which is it? According to the Bible...

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." {Ephesians 2:8-9}

Then it also says this..

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." {James 2:17}

So? Which is it..

First, there are NO Contradictions in the Bible. No not one. There are misinterpretations, misunderstanding of Scripture, and willful twisting of Scripture. But there are NO Contradictions. Second, they are BOTH correct. It is not either or. Here is where misunderstanding comes in..

First..

"For by grace are ye saved through faith;" you are SAVED by Faith. There is no other way. One has to first believe..

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." {Hebrews 11:6}

If you have heard the Word, God so loved the World, He sent His only Begotten Son, the Gospel, and do not believe that Jesus came to earth and lived the way He did, and Died the way He did, and more importantly, raised from the Dead as He did, then you cannot possibly accept His Sacrifice for you and your Sin. You have to first hear and accept these things on Faith that they are true.

"and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: " You cannot do ANYTHING, or be good enough, to EARN your way to Heaven. It does not matter what you do. It matters what you believe. God gave the Gift of Salvation to ALL that ask Him. It is all inclusive, and very defined. Accept Jesus and live, reject Jesus and die.

"Not of works, lest any man should boast." Not of Religion. It does not matter what Religion you claim. It does not matter if you are a good little Muslim, Jew, Christian, It is not about Religion. It is about a relationship with God through Jesus the Christ. It does not matter what MAN says about anything. It is simply Faith that you are saved by the Grace of God.

Look at Paul's letter to the church in Ephesus

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." {Ephesians 3:17-19}

Now AFTER you are Saved? Then....

"Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." {James 2:17}

Go to James 2. Start at verse 14

"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." {James 2:14-17}

What good does saying you have Faith in a Loving, Caring, Saving God, if you have means to Love, Care for, and lead others to Salvation, and yet, you CHOSE to do nothing.. Jesus said this..

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them." {Matthew 7:15-20}

When someone looks at you and your Life, can they tell the difference? Seriously. Look in the Mirror, I'm talking to Children of God here, look in the Mirror. DO YOU see any difference in you and the World? Do others? How are you living your life? What Fruit are you Producing??

Back to James 2

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." {James 2:18-26}

Even devils know there is a God. Think about that. Satan was there in the beginning. He knows God is there and real. He has seen Him face to face. He was there when the Bible was written. He can quote it Word for Word. Does this make him a good and Saved person? God gives us many examples of Faith in Hebrews 11. Noah building the Ark on a Sunny day, Abraham going out, Sara becoming Pregnant in old age, ETC. I encourage you to check out Hebrews 11.

See, Jesus gave us a way of escaping Sin and death. He gave us Eternal Life. He set us free. However, He also gave us The Great Commission..

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."{Matthew 28:19-20}

See, it really IS simple. Want more? Do more.The Law of giving and receiving is as real, and as constant, as the Law of Gravity. Want more money? Give more. Want more Wisdom, share that of what you know with others. Want more Grace? Give more. Want more Faith? Share more. Want more Blessings in all areas of life? BE a Blessing to others. Jesus told us plainly...

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." {Luke 6:38}

It is not now, nor has it ever been, about YOU. It is ALWAYS about someone else. God Blesses you so that you may Bless others. He fills you up to pour out onto others. He Planted His Seed in you so that you may bring forth a Harvest.

It was NEVER meant for you to believe, "I got mine, I'm good." The Word declare that you died WITH Him. You died with Jesus. Now you have been risen with Him, You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10} It is not about YOU, anymore.

You cannot be Saved without Faith. There is nothing you can do to inherent Eternal Life. However, once you ARE Saved, you must not be content with merely that. Remember, Jesus even warned us that we will be Judged by what we DO....

"And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." {Matthew 25:23-45}

Be careful Child of God, that not only to you BELIEVE and accept your Salvation, but that you also have Works to show for your Faith. Be the Good Tree. Be the Child of God you are. Once you are truly Saved, you should have a DESIRE to do good Works. Now go forth and do them..

Psalm 3

1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.

2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

3 But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

4 I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.

5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

7 Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

8 Salvation belongeth unto the Lord: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

The Silent Christian Speaks

But who am I? 

Last time we talked about being Silent, and then this fact that by doing so, we allow Evil to come in and take over. However, we also talked about this.God did not tell Noah to change the World. He told him, build a Boat. God did not tell Moses to change the World, He told him to bring His people out. Jesus did not tell His Disciples to change the World, He said whosoever accepted them were blessed, and whosoever did not was cursed. He simple said, go forth and Preach the Word. Jesus told us this..

"And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city." {Luke 10:8-12}

The sad truth is this, as a Child of God, you have an Obligation to share the Truth. Not all will accept it. Some will hate you for it. But this does not change what you should do. You do what you should do, God will do what He does. The people you share the Truth with, will hear or not. Will accept or not. Will be Saved or not. But it is the POWER of the Spirit. The POWER of the Truth. The POWER of God, that YOU possess. You are Obligated to be a Sower of the Seed.

OK OK. So some of you think like this. you think to yourselves, great. Aunty M., Bill at work, Grandma Moses, Friend Joe, whomever, told me about this Salvation stuff, so as long as I tell one other person, then my job is done. But then again, how just one person can effectively change the World.. Again, His concern for us, as His Children, is that WE are the Salt, Light, and the symbol of a better way in the Earth. We are Sowers of the Seed, Tellers of Truth, and Ambassadors of Heaven. We must NEVER remain Silent. We are given TO give to others.

"And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear." {Mark 4:21-23}

Jesus Himself is the one that said we are Sowers..

"Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.

And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.

And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Now Jesus is attempting to encourage His Disciples and explain why some will never hear the Truth, some will hear the Truth, and reject it. But even his Disciples didn't get what he was saying. So they had to ask Him....

"And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

The sower soweth the word.

And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred." {Mark 10}

WE are not responsible for other people's Acceptance or Rejection of the Word. We are simply Obligated to Share it. "So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase." {1 Corinthians 3:7} You just need to plant the Seed.

See, until you change a Person's Heart, you will NEVER change their World. You will never change their Circumstance. As for this World? There is something else you need to not only understand, but fully accept. It is what it is. It has a beginning. We are living somewhere in the middle. There is coming a time when it will have an end. It is already Written. It is already done.

So if I just tell one person, after all it was one person that told me, I'm good, Right? Well, let's start there. But then again, what good can one person really do??

Well, in 1934, Dr. Mordecai Ham in Charlotte, N.C., had a Tent Revival. Two boys attended. One was Grady Wilson. No, not the one from Sanford and Son. But this Grady Wilson and his friend decided to "crash the Party" So they went in. Now Grady dedicated his life to Christ the first night, but his friend was not so sure. You see, his hero was Babe Ruth. He has even said that as far as he was concerned, nobody ever attended these Revivals like ours except a lot of old, Effeminate Men and Crazy Women and Children.

The first night, Grady's friend said “I am through,” but he remembers that he was miserable all night and all the next day and admits, “I couldn’t get there soon enough the next night!” He stayed there for two months. OH his name? Billy Graham.

You know the rest of the story. One of the Largest Ministries in History. Over 70 years of founded Ministry. Millions of people Saved and Touched by God. All because a man named Dr. Mordecai Ham in Charlotte, N.C., had a Tent Revival in 1934. All because a man named Mordecai Ham was Faithful and Obedient, and Sowed the Seed into Billy Graham. Oh, and all because someone else Sowed the Seed in Mordecai Ham.

Did the person that shared the Truth with Dr. Ham KNOW what would happen? Did Dr. Ham, know at the time, that the smart aleck boy in the Choir Section was going to be Billy Graham??

Chances are, you will never see the impact you have here on this Earth. You tell John Doe. Jane Doe. They go and have a Life Changing God Experience. They move away to another country and start a Ministry, or perhaps even change that Country. They will meet people you never will. They will do things that you never will. All you did was planet the Seed. Job well Done. Not let God, well, let God.

However, the last thing you need to do is remain Silent.

Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Have you been adopted into the Family of God? If not, say this Prayer. Right now. Wherever you may be. Say it in your own words, and do not doubt in your heart. God will hear you. He will send the Spirit of Life to you. Let us Pray..

"Oh heavenly Father, Lord God. I am a sinner. I know this. I know there is nothing I can do to change that. But I know you can. I accept Jesus's sacrifice for me. I repent my sins. Please send the Spirit of Adoption into my life. Help me to get to know the real you. Save me. Please. In the name of Jesus, Amen!"

That's it. It really is that simple. Now go tell someone what you have just done. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." {Romans 10:9} You need to find a Church that God leads you to, and be Baptized the way Jesus said to be. You are now a Child of God. A new Creature. You "have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." {Colossians 3:10}

The Silent Christian

I got mine. I'm good.

Ever here a "Christian" say this? "I got mine. I'm good. Besides, I'm no Evangelist, or Pastor. I know nothing. I can't possibly come across to someone else about God. Who am I anyway. No. I got mine. I'm good."

Ever wonder why we have a Moral decline in this Country? Why we now call Sin Good and Good Sin? Why our Schools are War Zones. Where talking and chewing gum in Class has been completely replace with Rape and Murder. Why our young Girls are Walking around with everything on display and we hear of Sex Parties at 6 Grade Dances? Ever wonder why our kids can see Nudity any and everywhere? Why our TV, Movies, and Video games are filled with it and Violence? Here is one for ya.. Ever wonder why some of our CHURCHES are the way they are? Not only accepting Sin, but openly condoning and GLORIFYING Sin?

Not a Biblical but a historical reference...

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

Here is another..

"All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent."

Who made these statements? Edmund Burke. He was an Irish Statesman, Author, Orator, Theorist, and Philosopher. Oh he was also part of the Whig Party in the House of Commons in England. He is also the one who said this...

""Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it." Yup. Not Winston Churchill. although he may have said it, it was Edmund Burke who coined the phrase..

How profound are these? Think about it. It is totally true..

Picture living on the top of a Mountain. Far away from the rest of the World. You and some friends raise your kids in love and show them how to farm and simple games like Hide and Seek, Tag and maybe even Red Light Green Light. Although, they would have no idea what that is.. They grow, and they have Children, and so on. A few generations later, one comes down from the Mountains. They see the world for the first time. They know NOTHING about violence and evil. They know nothing about the deeds people will do to each other. They will stand by and watch in utter amazement, but have no idea what to do if anything..

Now, take a Police Officer. Here is a Person that goes to School to LEARN all about the Evils People do. They see the horrors. They are taught how to deal with them.. Now, for them to stand by and simply watch a Crime happen, that would be Criminal.. Would they not be as guilty as those committing the Crime? For allowing it to happen?

Any God will do? Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life..No one comes to God unless they go through Him. There is no other way.. See, the Church USE to stand up against Sin and Evil in the World. Abortion? That is the Murder of the most innocent of all life. Homosexuality? It is Sin against God and Nature.

WE are an Open Nation. We have a Constitution that grants you the Right to Worship ANY Religion you see fit. Well, as long as it is not Christianity. That one we need to regulate and restrict. But if you are anything else, especially Muslim, well, then we will make all kinds of accommodations for you. Just keep that Jesus stuff to yourself..

Abortion is now Ruled to be a "Right" granted to Women, and called a Medical Procedure and you no longer have a Right to speak against it. It became the Law of the Land in 1973. If you say anything about it, you HATE Women and you are a close minded Bigot. As a matter of fact, we need to Protect Women, so we will attack you, Sue you, and or, run you out of town if you say Abortion is murder. SO you better not dare..

Homosexuality is now considered GREAT. It is now a Protected Class. Gays have the Right to Marry, and the same rights as other Spouses. It is a glorious thing that should be celebrated if your little boy decides that he is a she, and she wants to use the girls Bathroom.. Gays are God's Children too. You better accept them and if you don't, than you are Homophobic and it should actually be against the Law, we are working on that, for you to say anything negative about Gay people. After all, they are the new Black. They are the New Civil Rights Movement. Even some of our Churches are now opening accepting and TEACHING Homosexuality is OK..

Why is this happening? Simple. When you remove God, something else ALWAYS takes His place. We removed God from our Schools. Look at them now. We removed God from Society, {THERE IS NO WALL OF SEPARATION IN THE CONSTITUTION} Look at it now? The Problem with an anything goes society, is, well, anything goes..

However, WE are not to be like this. WE are Children of God. Ambassadors to the Earth for Heaven.

"Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." {2 Corinthians 5:20}

The Church is NOT suppose to throw open their doors and welcome in those that seek to Change the Word and to call Sin Good. We are not to "Evolve with the times?" God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, His Word, is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. Jesus even said,,

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." {Matthew 24:35}

What was Sin, IS still Sin, and will always BE Sin. God doesn't change His mind because we decide to accept Sin. He doesn't go, "OK, OK,. You all want Homosexuality to be good, OK, OK, it is good. No worries. It is 2016 after all.." Or, "OK, OK. Yeah I get it. You do not want to accept Jesus. Fine, no big deal. Believe whatever you want and I'll see you then.." No. He is a constant. His Word, a constant. His way, a constant. We are to be, as His Children, a constant.

WE are to be a light in the Darkness of the World. WE are to be a sign that there is another and a far better way. WE are to be in the World and not OF the World. Jesus told us we are the Salt of the earth, and a light..

"Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." {Matthew 5:13-16}

If we sit silently by or seem to accept Sin in the World, how can people tell the difference in us and anyone else?

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world." {Philippians 2:12-15}

We cannot just simply sit by any longer. I'm not saying we need to attack the World. This will never work. As a matter of fact, think about this. God did not tell Noah to change the World. He told him, build a Boat. God did not tell Moses to change the World, He told him to bring His people out. Jesus did not tell His Disciples to change the World, He said whosoever accepted them were blessed, and whosoever did not was cursed. He simple said, go forth and Preach the Word.. We will talk about that next time. How just one person can effectively change the World.. But His concern for us, as His Children, is that WE are the Salt, Light, and the symbol of a better way in the Earth. We are Sowers of the Seed, Tellers of Truth, and Ambassadors of Heaven. We must NEVER remain Silent.

Hey folks,

A while back, we took the opportunity to read through the Book of Proverbs every Wednesday posting a new Chapter. Well this blessed some people who for the first time, actually read through the entire Book of Proverbs. Well, OK. Lets do this again with the Book of Psalms. Hey think about this, if they are so important to be added into the New Testament, Then why not here as well?

So starting this Wednesday, we will be starting our Journey through the entire Book of Psalms, a Chapter a Week. Join us won't you???
